Jaehaerys listened to Elia as he poured the glass and waited until she paused for breath. He raised a brow at her as he held out the cup. She put on such a good show of not caring it was easy to forget that about some things she probably cared more than any of them. He was reminded then that Elia had no parents- they'd been gone so long he'd almost forgotten they had ever existed. His expression softened and he put a hand on her arm.
"'Lia, I am not going to die anytime soon. But if I do, that is not the way things must go, only how they may go." He kissed her forehead. "Things might be quite different," he said with a smile.
