May 27: Dark wings, dark words Who: Jaehaerys, Arrys When: May 27, late morning Where: Maegor's Holdfast, the library Rating: PG-13 Status: Ask before joining?
Jaehaerys sat amid the books and scrolls of the castle's small library. The carved stone and brilliant tapestries, gleaming wood, were as rich as anywhere in the kingdom but it was the paper and parchment around him that were the true treasures of this particular room. The king however, was not concerned with them but with the weathered bit of parchment before him. Lord Randall Arryn's even hand was crowded on the page, and the edges torn- the raven had had a long flight it seemed. The king read the words over again and sighed. He leaned back in his chair as the door opened and a page announced his guest- the lord justiciar and Randall's heir, Arrys.
"My lord justiciar, welcome," Jaehaerys said, motioning to the chair across from him. He had meant to call Arrys to talk about the trial for whatever might be left of his uncle's would-be killer, but it would have to wait. "Please be seated. I hope you have had your morning repast?"
