Of course the King had to accompany the hunting party. Of course Jaehaerys would rather ride out into the dangers of bandits than remain behind the walls of the Red Keep. And of course he would demand that his Hand ride with him, although William would have come even if Jaehaerys had not asked. His distrust of the Tyrells had grown, even if Will could not pinpoint exactly why. He wouldn't leave the King, even with the Kingsguard around him, so the whim of a possible madman.
