Kaelyn turned from a discussion she'd been having with her maid and waved the lady away. Her eyes went wide as she glimpsed Genna's rumpled dress and Donal's stony face.
"Thank you, Donal. You'll have a silver stag for recompense at my daughter's ungracious behavior." Kaelyn didn't doubt from the scowl on Genna's face that the man-at-arms had endured a proper tantrum from her daughter. "And she herself will bring it to you, with an apology this very evening."
Donal bowed but made his escape quickly enough that Kaelyn paused, wondering when the Winterfell men had learned to avoid their family as well. She turned her attention on her youngest child. "Well, Lady Genna, where have you been?"
