"I wouldn't be surprised if he forgets how old Tybalt and I are on occasion," said Tyronne, having another sip of his ale. "My father is a great man, but he did spend a lot of my boyhood traveling and exploring. We haven't had the dramatic growth spurts in between his more recent absences to remind him that we've continued to age. Perhaps he thinks we're still fourteen and not quite old enough."
Tyronne winked, chuckling at that image. His father's mind was sharp and he doubted that his reasons for not bringing him and Tybalt had anything to do with thinking they were children.
"More seriously, though, I think he's hoping that I will focus on courting one of the Baratheon girls."
Possibly even swearing his vows and finally becoming a knight, but Tyronne was in no hurry. Tybalt was the very picture of a knight, and Tyronne was not. Tyronne was a lover of books and women.
