He wore the white proud, and none would talk such near him.
But the people? That was harder to say. "Some liked him, while others hated him before," Geric replied honestly. Stark had raised Jahar Xhe to the role of Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, which had not been popular with the people. Geric knew the names they had for Jahar. And while he had doubts about what they did - they had protected the king and family as best they could. The people had been ordered to part ways, and Jahar had valued the king more.
But regardless of moral debates, the common people hated Jahar and some Stark for promoting him.
