The announcements were made and the meal was winding down. While the entertainment was excellent, as to be expected, William simply wanted to get up and avoid his wife. William rose, mumbling something about needing to walk around, and left the dais. Kaelyn could continue her frozen ways well enough without him, and the King had already gone to travel around the room. He noticed Jahar, one of the kingsguard, standing off to side no doubt observing the King. Approaching the knight, one he'd named Lord Commander of the Kingsguard himself, his mood lifted and the smile he'd been forcing most of the night became genuine.
"Ser Jahar, greetings. I hope you're enjoying the feast." William said as he approached. Of all the Kingsguard, William had been the most fond of Jahar.
