Hey, no judging from me. What you do in your free time is 100% your business. But if you're on a - I'm going to say one of the dirtiest words ever - budget, you probably aren't going to be able to afford too much black leather, anyway.

You could always aim for some pleather from H&m instead.

Oh, the movie's called Ghostbusters.

When anything attacks New York (and it really, actually HAS happened), I admit that I spent about 2.5 seconds thinking, "Well, at least it's not the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man."

Yeah the moment wasn't hijacked you chose to keep up the charade for as long as you could to get a giggle out of the foreigner. You think this is the first time I encounter such behavior? I once thought Kevin Bacon was a terran hero who freed people from a weird non-dancing cult. And I once thought David Haselhoff (?) was Peter Quill's father.

I do want some real gear. Makes me feel safer which in turn makes me less jumpy. Which in turn makes me less stabby.

So what does a big fat white monster have to do with ghosts?

That's his name? Is he a giant marshmallow? Because Peter's told me those are sweet and puffy and generally considered a treat. Why not simply...eat him?

That's priceless. I need to give someone a pat on the back for those fine Footloose and Knight Rider references. I wish Knight Rider was my dad.

Just like whoever told you about Kevin Bacon and David Hasselhoff, it really is called a joke. Older Earth people make a LOT of those, a lot of it can be based on sarcasm. It used to be (and still is in my case) a coping mechanism for when the entire universe goes bat shit crazy or time breaks, and we're all stuck in a crappy situation. There's drinking too but let's not shout out how hard I've been hitting that lately.

Or they used to make jokes, before the year 2000. Then 90% of people born after that point stopped laughing and designated themselves the social media police. Even on the superhero dark web, it's inescapable.

Anyway, about fat white monsters and Ghostbusters. They started out busting ghosts, and then the lead guy's girlfriend and some other geek from her apartment get possessed, turn into guard dogs that open a big gate that this demon god comes through. The demon tells them they get to choose the form of the destroyer, so they were trying NOT to think of anything. But one of them thought of the cutest, softest, yummiest thing from his childhood, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. It's a logo to sell marshmallows, like candy, something cute to appeal to kids. The marshmallow man showed up. Too big to eat. Watch it sometime. I don't care what anyone says, the entire franchise is good.

Since I'm expecting something like a big fat white marshmallow monster any time now, real leather gear is on its way. I'll send a few sizes over for you to check the fit. Hotel staff can knock and leave it outside your door. Have fun.

It was Peter. And for the record I know full well what a joke is, and what it is to placate a stressful situation with humor, I just don't appreciate jokes made at my or anyone else's expense.

Do you mean the people calling others out for jokes made at people's expense that might negatively affect those people? I'm not so sure that's a bad thing but then if I were the one being called out I might think differently. Or try to examine why my humor might need a slight adjustment...hopefully. But probably not.

I need to see this movie! It has to have come out after Peter was abducted because otherwise I imagine he'd be obsessed with it.

Yeah, well? Obvious thing being obvious, I never played well with others.

Ask Peter about watching it. If he knows Footloose, he has to know Ghostbusters. My biggest aspiration in life was build a KITT the talking car for myself, and then I grew up and did it with an armored suit instead.

If you can help out, then helping you might help all of us. Acrobatics and agile, kind of like an ex-teammate of mine. I'll send some of the last mock ups over and you keep whatever fits.

I've heard about that car many many times. It's good that you adapted your childhood dream into something that can help others and do good but you could still make the car, just for fulfillment purposes.

Also no time to make the car. I think the idea of building the car turned into about a million and one suit upgrades and remodels.

If I need help? Nah. I'm better off as an army of me when it comes down to it. But if there's stuff going down and you hear about it on the network? Hell, jump right into the free for all with everyone else. Swing that sword, kick things in the teeth, and try not to get arrested while trying to save what you can.

You do that? I'll be a happy camper.
