Its worth it to try in case we need it someday. Even if we can't built it, like, next week? We can start putting the pieces together now. That's pretty massive all on its own. As long as we know it won't run the risk of hurting anyone we have with us now, hell yeah, lets drink coffee until our hearts explode and mad science this out.
The gist I got was other me did use the Godel metrics. I used a closed timelike curve to generalize how to navigate a specific worldline. If using Euclidean space to find the hyperplane along that one specific subspace timeline, it should lock us onto moving the individual through a series of set points, rather than moving time or space around that individual. Since that's when thing can go really wrong. No one wants to show up in the Jurrassic era as a eighty-nine year old. Yikes.
