Steve watched Buck struggle with the memory without actually looking at him solidly. There were little signs that told Steve how his friend was really doing. There didn't seem to be any anger. Frustration, sure, but the angry denial was missing. It was good to see.
"They were always kind of snippy that we never got toppings." It had been a source of amusement for them. As far as childhood antics were concerned that was pretty tame.
"Yeah," he chuckled out. "Everyone's too busy anymore to cook or go get their food." Then he smirked. "Back then the delivery guy would have eaten half the pie before it got to its destination."
