Who: Ned Leeds and OPEN
What: Little Mini Robot Building
When: Sunday Afternoon
Where: Stark Towers
Rating: Low

Ned was, once again, at Stark Towers. Yes, he had a home and yes, he loved his parents, but at least upstairs in Stark Towers no one would bat an eye at him building something. He could lie to his parents that the little mechanical robot of his was some sort of school project, but then he'd have to get it graded at some point. Plus lying to them was getting kind of old.

"Ow." He sucked in his breath and brought his finger to his mouth, giving the skin there a suck to make it feel better. Right now it didn't look like much with the gears and metal pieces strewn all over the table. It would look like something eventually... hopefully.

"Burgers. And fries? Aaand..." Peter pulled the takeaway box out of his backpack, opening it to look inside at the rest. "Onion rings! This guy's food truck was getting robbed. Can you believe that? Like who robs a food truck?"

Peter shook his head, tugging over a stool to sit close to Ned and place the food between them. "The owner said I could come back for a free meal anytime, so that's cool. Bet that would apply for a F.O.S. too." He grinned at his friend, looking over at the spread of robotic parts. "You look like you've been busy."

Ned looked at Peter and put his hand on his chest, giving his friend a very serious look that was borderline dramatic. "I humbly accept this food."

His expression cracked into a smile and he reached for the back, searched inside before pulling out an onion ring. He took a bite before talking which meant he was talking with his mouth full. "Obviously the most evilest." The onion ring was so good though.

Swallowing his bite, he grinned. "Okay, but we'll have to make like official cards or something so people can't just go around claiming to be your friend. Otherwise you know someone like Flash will say you guys are."

His eyes looked at the parts. "I'm trying to make little robots. You know, like the one of your suit?"

"Watch the next villain of the week be someone who ate a radioactive burger," Peter said around the fries he was all but inhaling. "Burger-man." He snorted, wondering what that would even look like. Burger-man definitely wouldn't be getting a F.O.S. card.

"Maybe we should have a password instead," Peter revised, seeing the potential of others to take advantage. "I mean, knowing Flash, he'd probably forge one. In gold lettering or something." And, besides that, Peter figured the Friends of Spider-man should be a more low-key thing. He didn't want Ned to ever have a target on his back.

Peter looked towards the equipment on the table, not yet reaching out and touching while he tackled some onion rings. "That's awesome." Though the robot wasn't finished yet, he could see where his friend was going with it. "What kind of features do you think you're gonna put in it?"

The idea of burger-man was a weird one. Ned was definitely picturing the Hamburglar... and then he decided he kind of wanted to see that in action.

"Well, I haven't decided yet. I mean, I was kind of thinking like, maybe I could make something that I could use in the field. Like , following you around and stuff. An extension of me? But I haven't figured out what they'd need to do other than to have remote hacking abilities..."

Peter nodded along as he listened to Ned, spinning the swiveling stool in a circle while he made his way through one of the burgers. Probably not the smartest thing to do while eating, but he was never good at sitting still.

"That'd be the coolest. Like the coolest." The idea excited him, too. Having Ned to talk to over the comms had helped Peter out of more than a few tight spots before, so he could only imagine all of his friend's his skills would be amplified with extensive tech. "Maybe you could set up some cameras in there? So the robot can see and hear whatever's going on where it's at?"

He nodded, making some mental notes of Peter's suggestions. He wanted to find a walk to make things useful. He also wanted to find a way to make it cool and transformie like Mr. Stark's stuff was.

"Maybe a screen with my face on it. Or is that too creepy?" He looked at the parts. ".. Or, I guess I should decide on what it looks like. Like, do I pick some sort of animal or insect or more like humanoid robot shape or some sort of car or airplane?"
