Where: Apartment and streets of NYC
What: Talks and Wanda tells him about Vision
Status: Completed gdoc

It was weird showing up the way that he had. Especially after a battle that was pretty vivid in his mind. However, that didn't mean he wasn't happy to be there. Especially when it came to being with his sister. His twin was his world and everyone and their mother knew that. Well, the ones that knew them knew that. There was so much to do and many different places that they could go.

For her, however, he tried to slow down. Something that wasn't easy for him. That wasn't how he took life and she knew it. Everything was a blur for him and he memorized every little aspect of it. So, when they get up that morning and after they've eaten, he gives her a bit of a smile. This place had them roomed together and he couldn't ask for anything more. Why would he?

"What do you want to do today?"

A part of him knew that for her it didn't matter what they did. They were together, after all.

Wanda returned his smile as she picked up their plates to carry them to the sink to deal with later. “I know bookstores are not your favorite places, but I’d like to pick up a few things today. Will you go with me?” While it might seem strange for a grown woman to want to be around her brother - even her twin - so much, she still felt like they had several years to make up for, and enjoyed spending time with Pietro.

With a flick of her wrist, the heavy cast iron pan she’d used that morning and already cleaned floated over to its hook on the wall, and she turned to her brother again.

“Or do you have plans of your own?”

"Mainly because I get bored in them."

Bookstores weren't his favorite places to be, no. It didn't mean that he wouldn't join his sister. There was no plans that he'd made for the day. Any plans that he'd had? He'd taken care of them already. Sometimes being the fastest man around came in handy. Which means being able to get out and doing things before anyone wakes up.

"I don't have any plans. We can go to the bookstore, pick out a few things. What were you looking for specifically?"

“A few books that have been recommended to me at times. A couple of Vision’s favorites, and a couple of cookbooks. And maybe something on the computer system the clinic uses. There is so much to learn and that might help me learn it quicker.” The mention of Vision had made her feel a little sad, but she hid it by moving on quickly, and gave Pietro another smile as she walked over to the closet to get out their coats.

“Would you be too bored if we walked, or would you rather run us over there?” She asked with a grin.

Pietro had never actually asked his sister about Vision. This wasn't the first time that he'd heard the name. However, he was also of the mind that when she was ready then she'd tell him about the man. Though, the mention of cookbooks gets a bit of a smile out of him. If anything? His sister would be amazing at something like that. There was nothing that she wouldn't be amazing at.

"I can walk with my sister," he tells her with a smile. Even if him running them there would be far quicker.

“Good, I’m glad to hear it,” she replied before tossing him the coat and pulling her own on, along with a hat and scarf. She stayed silent until several minutes later, once they were downstairs and out the door, half a block away from the tower. It was nice to be among a crowd to be anonymous with him, almost as if the last several years hadn’t occurred.

Slipping one arm around his as they walked, Wanda gave him a smile. “How far we’ve come, from that war-torn city in Sokovia, hm?” She’d fallen into their natural language easily, glad too for the excuse to use it again.

He catches the coat easily and slips it on, moving into step with his sister. They didn't need to communicate the way others did. Not when they had a connection to one another. Silence wasn't strained among them, but companionable almost. If that was even the right word for it. The one thing that he liked living around this place? He didn't have to steal anything like he once had. Anything for the woman by his side.

Pietro gives her a soft smile," We have come miles, sister mine." Miles in how they'd handled things back then. Sokovia had been a home torn with war. It was what had them allowing themselves to be experimented on. Even if that wasn't something that he liked to think about often. Just like Wanda, slipping into their native tongue was far too easy. Even if it got a few looks. More interested of a language than intimidated. That was something else that would be new for them too. But it was a good new. Not at all bad.

“Indeed we have,” she replied quietly, falling into her thoughts for a few minutes. There was so much to tell him, that she wasn’t entirely sure where to begin - and then decided to start with the person who’d touched her heart so deeply.

“You remember Vision, yes? We saw when Thor used his hammer to give him life, changing him from the monstrosity Ultron was trying to create for himself?” Wanda waited for him to confirm, then went on. “After Ultron was defeated...he, Sam, Rhodey, and I all became members of the Avengers. And Viz and I spent a great deal of time together in the years that followed. Eventually, we...fell in love, Pietro.”

That was one thing that his sister, unfortunately, had above him. She had been able to fall in love and he was never able to. He hadn’t gotten the chance before he died. Pietro was happy that his sister had found happiness. Wanda deserved to have that much after everything that they’d been through.

“I remember him,” he tells her. Or, at least, he vaguely remembers him. There had been a lot going on back then. He does, however, remember Thor and his hammer. Ultron. So much that ran through his mind during that time. He gives his twin sister a smile,” I’m glad that you fell in love, Wanda. You deserved to be in love.”

The smile she gave him back was tinged with sadness, and after a moment she looked down at the sidewalk as they walked, knowing he’d know how she felt from their bond. “I only wish we’d had more time. He’s dead now.” She paused for a moment, then went on a little slower. “I...had to kill him while trying to save everyone. I did it, and then was forced to watch as time was reversed and he was killed in front of me by another.”

To Wanda, it seemed that death followed her. Their parents had died when they were little, then Pietro had been killed, then she’d killed others and finally Viz. Now, at least back in their world, Natasha and Tony were gone, as well. It seemed like only a matter of time before she brought death and pain to Clint’s family, and a part of her was glad that he wasn’t here.

“I wish you’d had the chance to know him.”

He could feel his sister's sadness. There was a bond that the twins had that no one could truly understand. Not unless they were in their shoes. A bond that lasted lifetimes, even. Which is why he hates that he died. Knowing that when it had happened that it had taken their bond with it. "I'm sorry." She should've never had to kill anyone that she knew, much less loved.

"I'm sure I would've loved him," Pietro states wrapping an arm around his sister and resting his head on her shoulder. He'd learned to like Clint, after all. Which means that Vision would've been higher up on his list. Especially if the man was someone that his sister had fallen in love with. Someone who had loved her in return.

Wanda leaned into him and let the comfort wash over her. She’d suffered so much loss in the past several years, but here she had Pietro back. Her brother, her twin, her other half. Slipping an arm around him and giving a soft squeeze in acknowledgement, she blinked back tears and continued walking.

“You would have,” she agreed, as she pushed aside the sadness and looked across the street as they reached a corner. “The store is just over there.”

Pietro still didn't want to think about the fact she'd been without him for so long. No one should be without the other half of their soul. It wasn't the same as a soulmate, but the twins were two halves of a whole. They were an integral part of one another. That was not something that anyone could ever take away.

He gives a soft smile when she mentions the store," Let us go in then, see what books we can find you. Perhaps I will even have you cook for me." That last part, however, was merely teasing.

“I’ll have you know that I’m a very good cook - and I’m looking forward to filling our refrigerator,” Wanda said before squeezing his arm lightly and heading across the street with him. She was glad that they were together, and intended on taking advantage of however long her brother would be here. His presence was a miracle to Wanda.
