Re: Vic Altman
1. It was a pretty simple choice picking him as Vic's PB. No one else really made sense after I found him. He definitely doesn't have the range of expressions I would picture for Vic, but he captures that "looks good to everyone else, doesn't see it in himself" essence that Vic thrives on.
2. I basically reversed what you had for Marvel - Marvel = grandparent's name, so I looked at Billy's and found Jeffrey (Vic's middle name) was Billy's birth dad, and Vision used the alias "Victor Shade." And I picked the opposite last name for the cross-over special. :D
3. Vic loves hard and he also loves to be in love. Milo has had some concerns about that, but Vic doesn't just fall in love for the hell of it - he'll go years between relationships. It's helped that he's remained fuck buddies on and off with Jack (not really an accurate description since there's so much emotion there, but they weren't on again off again in a more traditional sense - their emotions didn't really change whether they were sleeping together or not). He generally is a good boyfriend - he learns about his partner and tries to adjust things to make them happy, like getting them the kind of presents that actually mean something to them, and the same with activities. But he needs to be reminded that Milo is different from him when it comes to that, which is part of his biggest failing. He can get so carried away with his own emotional understanding of love and relationships that it can make him look insensitive. He doesn't stop to consider that the other person might feel differently about something. When it's brought to his attention, he learns from it and tries his hardest to take that into account, but he's had limited success in the past. With Milo, he might actually succeed in the long run in changing what he needs to change.
