Alec Deeks
Alec has a new age kind of mentality. He's into this whole master of your fate mentality, where he's self aware enough to know that nobody dictates his character but him. Which means if he's a good or bad person, that's on him. And for the record, he doesn't think he's a good person, because his morality is entirely bias.
People he likes, or is loyal to, or respects get the better side of his morality. They're protected at all cost, because they're awesome people and they deserve it. People he doesn't like gets the worst end of his morality. I don't think he's actually capable of killing someone at this point in time, he's a wee baby, but I do think he understands that killing is a necessary evil. You can't reason with some people, some people are just bad apples, and to make sure they don't make things worse, sometimes you gotta kill them. But that's easy for him to think, when he's never had to kill a person in his life.
Certain things make you a coward in Alec's eyes, and Alec doesn't have respect for cowards. If you abuse your boyfriend or girlfriend, you're a coward. If you intentionally bully an easy target, you're a coward. He has strong opinions of parenting just because he'd gotten screwed over so much by parents in the past. But that's the quickest way to give Alec a grudge to hold against you - fuck over someone in your care. ...Because that makes you a coward too.
But at the same time, he doesn't think lying, stealing, cheating, fighting is wrong. This is survival of the fittest, if you can do it, flaunt it. He doesn't think keeping a clean living space makes you a better person. He doesn't think your clothes or your grades or your organizational ability make you better. That's basically his moral code, very little makes you a good person, and very little makes you a bad person. You just are, and most people have a little bit of both.
