Bouncing back...like a squash ball: He's been slipping, but the plus side is that he's aware of it and not in denial over it. So he's hitting his head against a wall for letting himself slip, and going to try and bounce back and may overcompensate for it. He's been kind of avoiding people, but with school starting up again and him being well enough to at least stand and teach, he's gotta be back on the job. He does better when he's got responsibilities, and between a job, helping roman, and trying to make up for being an avoidant person for the past bit. Mostly he's trying to keep himself busy now that he can walk around, and trying not to leave himself alone. He's at his worst alone.
So he'll probably drop by Jack's (hi ninja bud), probably contact Bex once school year has started (bookreports?) to see how she's been doing (he feels bad that him being out of it overlapped with some shitty times for her and he wants to make sure she's alright), check in on Caylie, Eve put up with his antisocialness and he wants to make up for that, maybe ask Pella to keep an eye on him since she knows about his addiction issues already (and he'd rather not tell more people than those who already know). So yes, he's gonna try and keep himself busy.
These romans are crazy: His bro is still in a bit of a bind when it comes to the whole custody thing, and Al is going to keep helping him on that front. He's got his own issues with Roman, and doesn't agree with all the decisions he's made, but family is family and he still loves his brother. So Roman is a bit of a pariah in the community right now, someone has to have his back, and as far as Al is concerned, that's his job as family. Also he needs to meet this niece when he can.
