Alex McCoy (part 1) Name: Alex McCoy Age: 16 Occupation: Student Parents & Other Family: Abigail Brand (mother), Hank McCoy (father), Phil and BB McCoy (siblings), Milo Pym (guardian), Eve Blaire (cousin-type-figure), Bex and Beau Lebeau (best friends for whom he'll do almost anything) To The Profile
Lines & Plots You'd Like This Character To Have: Death of the McCoys: Dun dun dunnnnnn. I want to kill off Abigail and Hank. Having them die together is going to be a huge blow to the whole family - and probably the community at large, since Hank is such a legend. Also, Abigail runs SWORD, so that could create a power vacuum, in case there are any alien plots in the works. Alex will not take this even remotely well and may even go murderbeast (greater than Class 10 strength, insane berserker rage, covered in fire that can melt metal and ionize gas). But maybe not. If you have an idea for how to kill off the McCoys in connection with another plot, please let me know! Otherwise, IDK, car accident just sounds so underwhelming.
Young Cassanova: Alex is pansexual. He's gotten a blowjob from a guy before (NPC, cradle-robbing grad student who works for his mother, lion-like mutation), and he spent the summer having sex with Bex. He really wants to experiment with more people, especially guys. (He's really pan, which is a challenge for me - I have a strong preference for writing queer interactions.) He'd be very open to an actual relationship, but he's also okay with sexual experimentation. He's a horny beast. For obvious reasons, he needs other teenagers for this so he's not just sexing up a bunch of NPCs. I think the ideal scenario for this would be him having to choose between two partners. The irony of all of this is that he does not think of himself as very desirable, considering his giant, furry blueness - he's pretty sure Bex has just been sleeping with him because she likes sex and she's his friend.
Power Dampeners: So Alex has done something pretty incredible already. At 16, he has invented a power dampener cuff that can only be activated if the wearer consents. He tied everything in its design through this principal, so anyone wanting to remove the consent feature would have to start all over (thanks, imaginary science!). It's a revolutionary piece of equipment because of its ethical implications, but that doesn't mean it's not going to be without some major political consequences. He thought that by basing the whole design around the concept of consent, he could avoid any negative backlash - but I can totally see some Tea Party activist starting a movement along the lines of "If they've got nothing to hide, why don't they consent to the bracelets?! 'MURICA!" So maybe this could become part of the election process? It might be too close, considering how new Alex's invention is, so that's not a deal-breaker. But the other side of this is that no one except his family and a few other teachers really had any idea how smart Alex was before this - he's been hiding it from everyone for fear of rejection. Everyone knew he was smart, but this even surprised Milo and Phil. I would really love more students in general, for all sorts of reasons, but I don't think any of the adults in the game would really give him a hard time about this, which means he isn't really going to have much of a chance to have to stand up for himself. Makes it hard for him to grow. So I guess I'm asking for an asshole teenager. XD
