Vic Altman
21. Yes. He has an arcane symbol tattooed above his left shoulder blade. He had to have it specially applied by an artist with tools designed to pierce extremely dense skin. It's a focus for an extremely difficult spell that he had to learn to prove his mastery of the earth element, but which he is sworn to use only in direst need.
22. The past isn't a particularly welcoming place for a gay man, but he thinks it might be fun to visit the golden age of magic.
23. Nope. While his study of magic isn't nearly as extensive as a proper candidate for Sorcerer Supreme (he doesn't appear to have the ability to use non-elemental magics), he's read enough to know what's real and what isn't. If he does something to ward off demons, he's thinking about actual demons, like from Limbo, not bad luck spirits.
24. This one's a toughie. Vic wants someone smart and with a good sense of humor, which he's got in Milo, but I think he'd also really prefer someone who didn't need so much looking after. He's not so messed up that he has a need to be "the successful one," but he does have a need for acknowledgement and validation. Someone who's not actively competing with him in any areas, but who can appreciate the ones in which Vic excels is probably a good way to meet that. He also desperately needs someone who's either a giant nerd, or a nerd lover, because Vic would still play D&D if he had the time and a group of friends who were into that.
25. Vic has really big hands. He's weirdly proud of them. No calluses, despite how hard he uses them during training and working out (his skin's too dense to get injured in the way needed to form them). He touches his face, neck, and hair a lot, too, so they tend to be noticeable.
Bonus! Vic is living in the Academy, even though he doesn't have to anymore. He's not really willing to sink that much money into a rent check living on his own. And despite this technically being the height of his career, most of his stuff is just this side of shabby. It's all second-hand furniture, though it looks decent enough. Because of that, none of it really matches. A big bed, a large corner desk, lots of bookcases, and a huge, overstuffed sofa he doesn't really have room for, but wasn't willing to part with. The sofa, curtains, and bedspread, as well as most of the decor are all varying shades of green. At least he's consistent.
