Hey pnuts!

I'm Annie, and I'm so happy to dip my toes in your community. I've been around the Marvelverse since like '01, so I may have crossed paths with a few of you before. I normally use my first name Katie, but I didn't want any confusion with Zee Modly One, sooo I broke out my middle name Anne. Anyway! If y'all ever want to jabber, I am on AIM and stuff. Just dropbox and I'll be happy to give it out. I'm almost always on, at least on my phone if not my laptop.

I chose a helluva good time to dive back into RP after the holiday craziness, since my store is about to go through its annual inventory on Thursday. But! After that, I should be around a lot more. Just gotta get through the next 48 hours really, yay. Anyway, allow me to introduce:

Victoria Logan Creed, daughter of none other than Victor Creed and Raven Darkhölme. She's a hot mess, I admit. Semi-orphan with an abandonment complex, trying to redeem herself from her relatively awful parents and their legacy. Raven ditched her in Texas when motherhood inevitably got too "real" for her (again), Victor took her on a traumatic father-daughter killing spree in Mexico when she was a teenager, and she briefly reunited with Mommy Dearest in New Orleans before Raven split again. It's left her a relatively snarky, stubbornly independent person.

At 24, she's got a history of drifting. Bartending is her latest trade, so if there's an in-game bar alreay established, I'd love to know about it! She's new to New Avalon, searching for a fresh beginning. A part of her feels the pull of responsibility to do something with her powers, too, but she's not exactly classic hero material right now. Speaking of which, she's pretty much a feral like her dad -- healing factor, animal-like senses, enhanced reflexes and endurance. She can even pop claws from her fingertips, though that's technically speaking a shapeshifting quirk from her mom's side. Her shapeshifting is pretty underdeveloped right now. Minor cosmetic things, like changing her eye or hair color, are easy. And she's just starting to experiment with mimicking voices by altering her vocal chords, but she can't really assume someone's appearance or anything right now.

I'm babbling because it's late, but yeah! I'd love anything y'all are willing to throw my way. She's definitely resident status, so she'll be living off-campus. But she's bartending, so that's always an easy way to meet folks. She's also gay, but somewhat in-denial about it. So ummmm, I think that's everything!

Love Plot Sign Ups! [10 Feb 2015|11:59pm]
Hey hey hey, it's almost Valentine's Day! That means we're starting sign ups for the Love Plot!

Starting Friday, Feb. 13th, Staten Island will be hit by a rain of metaphorical Cupid's arrows thanks to a misfired spell meant to win someone a date. (These things happen, you understand.) The spell will eventually end on its own (Thursday, Feb. 19th to be specific), but until then, people on the Island are going to fall madly in love with each other.

So this is how this works: everyone signs up (or opts out) in a comment below, using a neat little code. Then on Thursday (or whenever everyone's signed in, whichever comes first), we'll post a list of who wants to zoom who. We do, however, have two important rules.
1. This plot is meant to be fun and light-hearted. Even if things get whacky or extreme, we're preferring that no one causes any kind of lasting or permanent physical injury to someone else's characters during this plot. Anything else is fair game.

2. Along that same lines, there will be no sex with anyone affected by the spell. Because the spell is making characters obsessed with/in love with other characters, any sex with a character affected by it is... actually sexual assault. That's not an off-limits thing for the game in general, but this isn't a rape plot. No sexytimes while under the influence. No bueno.

3. Characters can't target or be targeted by someone they're already romantically involved with or have romantic feelings for. This is to keep it fun! We're saying the spell won't really work if people are already in love. (For example, Jack Murdock can't get all Cupid on Mark Reilly, because they're already dating and that's boring.)

Characters who get hit with the spell will fall madly, obsessive, gonna-getcha-getcha-getcha in love with the target of their affections. They can't be "broken up with" properly, they can't "get over it". Even if they're dissuaded from pursuit, they'll still be melancholy about it (think Romeo crying over Rosaline, woe and sadness) or be in denial.

So grab the code below, sign some people up, and get ready for some lovin'!
