Tess relaxed slightly. Not much, but enough to sound fairly normal as she returned the greeting. "Hey, Pamela."
She shoved her hands into the pockets of the jacket she wore. This was awkward, because she didn't know what to say that wouldn't sound like digging for information. That was one of the many downsides to being Manes' informant. She'd kind of lost the ability to make normal conversation.
But at the same time, Pamela would be able to tell if she was up to anything, right? Tess was pretty sure, she just wasn't entirely sure how the whole psychic thing worked for the other woman.
"How's it going at the farm? Everybody okay?" Because it was probably where she'd end up running someday, if she didn't end up dead. And because she was on edge; it didn't seem right worrying about Wanda, not when that hadn't done her any good before, so she'd worry about a bunch of other people instead.
