Who: Allison Hargreeves and Five Hargreeves When: 7/9/21 Where: Mirrorverse Madison Valley What: Meeting up with the other version of her brother. It's weird... Rating: PG-13 Status: Closed; Completed Gdoc.
What the hell was going on? First, she couldn’t locate Dean or Sam anywhere and now she was having trouble tracking down her brother, Five. As much as Allison would like to believe that it was some trick of the town, she couldn’t allow herself to be reassured so quickly. With how violent and tumultuous Madison Valley was, she couldn’t assume that her missing friends and family had not fallen prey to it. Though, it was difficult for her to believe that Five would be caught unawares. He was a trained assassin after all.
But her messages were going unanswered and Allison was growing more and more worried by the second. It was hellish enough living in this place. If she lost a sibling, Allison wasn’t entirely sure how she would cope. At least having family made this monstrosity of a town bearable. Her powers made this town bearable. Without them, it would have been much harder for them to get phones, food, and shelter. Giving into her abilities was the only way to ensure her family and herself survived for however long they were stuck here.
As crazy as their world was, Allison would take time travel chaos over this anyday. At least it hadn’t been the prologue to a war. Well, at least not yet. She hadn’t stuck around long enough in her timeline to see how that latest mistake left her family. Given the hostile environment here, she didn’t have time to dwell on it too much either. She could not do anything about home being stuck here anyway.
Peering around a corner, Allison breathed a heavy sigh of relief as her gaze landed on her brother and his familiar schoolboy shorts. He looked unharmed, but confused? Bewildered? Allison felt a jolt of panic again. Had something happened to him? Or, someone?
“Five, there you are.” Allison hurried over to him. “I’ve been looking for you.” Allison scanned the street around her, but there was no one except for themselves...yet.
“We should get shelter,” she added after a moment. “It’s not a great idea for us to be out in the open like this.”

When Five found himself suddenly in a version of Madison Valley that looked a little too similar to the post apocalyptic wasteland he’d been stuck in alone for almost forty years, he actually had a moment of panic. Had his powers gone haywire again? He wasn’t sure if he could handle going through this again. He’d struggled enough after the first time and been barely hanging on when The Handler found him.
He heard Allison calling his name and breathed out a sigh of relief. Whatever this was, at least he wasn’t alone. “What happened?” he asked. “Was Vanya responsible for this?” Did the Hargreeves family manage to create yet another apocalypse, this time in Madison Valley?
*** Allison noticed his sigh of relief as she ushered him off the street. It wasn’t surprising; he was probably looking for her and the others too. Besides, it was just as much of a relief to Allison as it was to Five to see another sibling. They’d lost one another too many times as it was. At his question, Allison frowned. “Last time I checked, Vanya’s powers didn’t make people go missing. Did you hit your head or something?” Did it have to do with people going missing? Five didn’t look worse for wear, but with how many other powered people were around, not all injuries were bound to be flesh wounds.
“I’ve been trying to find you for an hour.”

“I’m talking about… this,” Five said, gesturing at the run down buildings around them. This was not the Madison Valley he was used to. “The destruction. What year is it? How far in the future did I go this time? It was 2021 for me.”
He was assuming that was what he was dealing with because that was his experience. At least whatever happened this time spared Allison and didn’t leave him completely alone. He just needed to figure out what that was and then get back so he could prevent it from happening in the first place.
*** Allison took a step back. Was he...joking? He knew exactly how all of “this” happened. The two of them had been in town for most of it. The destruction, the poverty, and the fighting was something they were both well versed in and yet, Five was looking around as if he’d never seen any of it before.
“It’s 2021. July,” Allison replied carefully. “And you know what happened here. The Dome was down before we arrived. We were trapped here, with limited supplies, and we had to fight to survive. This place was in pretty much ruins when we arrived. Vanya had nothing to do with it.”
***
Five stared at his sister, listening as she spoke though her words didn’t make sense. “Okay, July 2021 is right, but this is… wrong,” he said, looking around again. “Madison Valley isn’t in ruins. It’s a nice, boring little town where strange things happen and Vanya has a boyfriend who actually doesn’t seem to be psycho.”
Apparently this was some kind of alternate reality situation. “Okay, so we’re in the dark version now. Give me the rundown.” Clearly she was scared of something and he did not like that at all.

Nice, boring little town? Allison looked at her brother as if he’d grown a second head. Maybe, a long time ago, Madison Valley had been a nice, quaint boring little town, but not anymore. That changed the minute the refugees started arriving. The only thing that sounded familiar was that strange things happened there. Strange things happened here too, but none of them involved what was really necessary like extra supplies and food.
“Yeah, this place hasn’t been nice for a long time, but strange things still do happen. Not that it’s comforting or helpful a lot of the time.” For all that Madison Valley, having the strange things in common was probably the least comforting because no doubt the strange things brought him here.
“There are probably two of you here now. Unless you were swapped and knowing this place sounds more logical, if possible.” Allison swallowed. At least he still had the take charge attitude that her version of Five had. She would need that if they were going to keep themselves alive.
“We’re dealing with Alex and Rosa. They dislike supernaturals and kill them without much thought. They had people on their side who agree with them and will do the same,” Allison described. “ Fortunately, the two of us are pretty crafty at staying alive and we’ve used are abilities to get us supplies. It wasn’t ideal, but I had to start rumoring people again...all time in fact.”

Hearing that Allison was using her powers was a bit of a surprise, though he supposed it made sense that her survival instinct would outweigh her guilt over it. “What about Klaus and Vanya?” he asked. “Are they here? They were in the other Madison Valley. Diego was there for a while, but he left. Oh, and Lila is around.” But he didn’t really care what might have happened to her.
Five tried to remember if he knew the names Alex and Rosa. He might have seen them around on the network, but he couldn’t recall any specific details about them. Of course, it likely wouldn’t have mattered if he could since they were probably different.
*** “Klaus is dead. Vanya is here.” Allison was grateful her sister was around. They might not have gotten out of a few of their worst battles without her. Of course, Five had been just as much of an asset and he was very protective of Vanya.
“I’m not sure about Lila and there is no Diego.” Allison was grateful she hadn’t run into Lila. She wasn’t a huge fan of the other woman despite her obvious affections for Diego. “Given our relationship back home, I doubt she’d be forthcoming to join up with us.”

At least this place had one thing going for it if Lila wasn’t around. Five was glad to have his sisters at his side as well. “Okay, well, we should find Vanya and come up with a plan. I have no idea how I got here or how long I’ll be here, but the three of us need to stick close together.” And if at all possible, he was going to get them out of this universe and either send them home or take them back to his Madison Valley.
The idea of having two Vanyas and two Allisons running around was a mindfuck though and he doubted it would be possible.
*** It was the first thing her brother said that made sense to Allison and she nodded. “I’ll take you to where we are living. Thankfully, my powers kind of made it possible for us to have decent living space.”
It also made it possible for them to have smart phones. If they were going to fight a war, Allison wanted to make sure they were as prepared as possible...even if it went against what she once tried to stick to involving her powers. This place gave her no choice in the matter.
“Let’s go.” Since Five was not “Five” they would have to walk it so they might as well get started and off the street.

Five was willing to follow her and looked forward to seeing Vanya. Hearing that Klaus hadn’t survived in this world wasn’t much of a surprise. “Good. You do what you have to do to survive,” he said. He knew both of his sisters were tougher than they often let on.
He was here for a reason and he was going to do what he could.
