Kaa didn’t leave the house very often. It wasn’t because outside wasn’t safe. He was more than capable of protecting himself...kind of helps that he can transform into a very large boa constrictor. He just had no interest in leaving the comforts of his room. The only time he did venture out was to get more liquid opium for his hashish. Such was the case now. He had a connection but the man changed locations every day. Kaa would have to wander around to get a bead on him. Most of the time he would have gotten screaming high to do this in case it took a while, but he had run out two days ago. His own fault. He hadn’t been keeping track of his supply. Bother. Kaa had been aimlessly wandering the streets and back alleys when he spied someone familiar. Today was looking up. He knew better than to sneak up on Dean so he didn’t bother. A hunger of another type settled on the snake’s face as he stepped out where Dean could see him. “Well, well. Slithering about without your brother? My lucky day.” It was a little difficult to purchase things when the money in your wallet was useless, and nobody was taking credit cards. Then again, he could always intimidate them into handing shit over, but he felt a little guilty to do that. Thankfully, at the moment, he didn’t really need to purchase anything. He would raid the mansion for anything and everything of use. At this point he was just keeping an eye out for anyone who would be of use to him, and looking for Sam at the same time. Based on the looks he kept getting from everyone, and how everyone turned away, he figured that the other Dean didn’t spend too much time with the other people. Unless he was killing or torturing them. Did he really just say slithering? “I’m not attached to Sam like some ball and chain.” Who the fuck was this dude? He looked kind of familiar, but he couldn’t put a name to the face. Kaa didn’t stop. He just walked right up into Dean’s personal space, caught the older Winchester’s face with both hands then claimed a deep, thorough kiss. “Good. Then maybe we could have some fun. I won’t even charge you since we’re outside the establishment.” What happened outside of Kenny’s wasn’t any of Kenny’s business. Anyone else, Kaa might have charged and pocketed the money, but Dean was a favorite of his. What. The. Actual. Fuck?!? This Dean was bi-sexual? Of all the fucking things that could have happened to him, he had to be kissed by some random dude. Son of a fucking bitch. While he didn’t automatically shove Kaa away, he definitely didn’t return the sentiment. He looked at the other in disbelief and grabbed his hand to pull him aside. “Are you telling me he actually pays for sex?” There were many things that Dean was willing to do to not blow his cover. Sleeping with another man? Nope. Absolutely no fucking way. Sleeping with anyone was out of the question.”Do not make a scene.” He hissed under his breath, once they were out of earshot. “I am not the same Dean, and I will shoot you if I have to.” Oh ho! So the oracle had been right?! He should track down his source customer and refund some of his money for this. For now, Kaa had to weigh what would be more in his favor: to inform Kenny that the prophecy was true, or keep it to himself and watch how everything shook out. “Not making a scene is making a scene in this place, my friend.” Kaa chuckled but didn’t resist being pulled as he was. He took the time to look this Dean over. Still delicious, but definitely in possession of subtle differences. “My Dean would have just shot without the warning,” he said with a smirk. “Yeah, well, your Dean is fucking psychotic. So, I’m really not surprised about that.” He replied with a dramatic roll of his eyes, pulling him towards the car. “But, if he’s so hot for teacher, why the fuck would he even shoot you in the first place?” Was this dude the black haired not a vamp that Pam described? “You don’t happen to have an asian friend, do you?” He studied him closely, trying to gauge what kind of a potential threat the man could be, but he didn’t appear to be the violent type. No, this dude was more into pleasure, it seemed. Dean could take him easily, if necessary, but he didn’t think he would be a problem. “I’m trying to find the way out of here. You wouldn’t happen to know anyone who might be able to help with that, would you?” Kaa shrugged. “Given. But he’s a machine between the sheets.” One side of his lips pulled up into a smile. “And if you’re asking that question then you really don’t know your darkside.” He leaned toward Good Dean a little. “You shoot things and people as easily as breathing. You don’t need a reason.” Kaa shook his head as he sighed and ruffled the back of his head. “Alas. Nothing works against the dome.” He paused a moment as ancestors’ whispers penetrated the opium withdraw fog that was his mind. “Unless…” The snake leaned against a nearby wall. “You got drawn here by the exact opposite of this town, yes? If it wasn’t too long ago, there might be a...well...chem-trail is the best way to describe it. Find someone who can work with dimensional magic.” “Okay, I really don’t need to know about his sexcapades, so, let’s put a lid on that.” Ever since he had kissed Castiel, he found himself becoming more comfortable with homosexuality and he wasn’t all that bothered knowing his other side was bi, but he didn’t want to know details. It was a little unsettling to hear that his darkside twin was a little trigger happy, and he hoped that if Dark Dean was back home, that Cas, Balthazar, or whoever, would be able to keep him in line. There had been a time in his life where he had gone dark, but it was nothing compared to what he was hearing about his twin. Dean looked at Kaa with a blank expression. “Dude, I just got here. I don’t know anyone. How the fuck am I supposed to find someone who can work with dimensional magic?” “Have you seen the Oracle?” Kaa tilted his head as he lifted a brow. He never had, personally, but everyone knew about her. Some of Kaa’s customers fed him the gossip on things she’s said and done to throw a kink into the Winchesters’ path. The more recent vision she had resulted in the man he was talking with now. “She and her guardian know all. They would know who would know dimensional magic.” “The fucking what now?” Dean looked back at him with awe, trying to figure out what an oracle was. “Wait, are you talking about Pam? The hot blind chick? I just fucking came from her place.” He groaned in frustration, wishing that there was some reliable cell service. Only, he wouldn’t have her number in the first place, so, back to square one. “I guess I’ll head back there. Good luck with whatever the fuck you’re doing.” “Indeed,” Kaa said as he licked his lips. “Her. She can seek out what you are looking for.” Then he hummed. “More specifically who. If she doesn’t already know.” That one knew everything, or so it seemed. “Hey!” He lifted from his lean as his hand snapped out to grab Dean by the arm. The movement was faster than normal eyes could track. “You owe me, Good Dean. Nothing here is for free.” Dean’s eyes widened over how fast the other man had grabbed his arm, and he looked at Kaa with a raised brow. “Okay, sure. What do you want?” He had cash on him, but not that much, and he wasn’t even sure if it was used around this place. “Do you want a ride or something? I don’t have too much to offer.” Snakes were fast. Damn fast. Even in human form. He didn’t have anything in his system to slow him down and he was desperate for a fix. “Take me with you. Kill Kenny. Or help me find my dealer.” He smiled as he shrugged. “Pick one.” “Okay, well, I’m not going to kill anyone, and I don’t know how to find your dealer of whatever the fuck you want. But, I can take you with me, sure. To Pam’s, or somewhere else?” Dean looked at him curiously, unsure if giving him a ride was the best idea. “Or, if you know where your dealer is, I can drive you there.” The farmhouse. Behind the Magician’s wards. Safe from Kenny. Alternatively, the farmhouse, where he could gather information to eventually take back to Kenny to buy his freedom. Or a mountain of opium. Whichever. Either way, it would benefit him. The snake smiled. “The Oracle’s den would be fine.” There was definitely something odd about this guy, but Dean was sure he would be able to handle things if they went south. “Okay, Pam’s place it is. Get in.” He unlocked the car and motioned for the other to get in while he took the driver’s seat. Once Kaa was in he pulled away and started towards the farmhouse. “I don’t think I caught your name.” As soon as he got into the car he slid down enough to be obscured if anyone looked into the window. Kaa doubted that Kenny had him followed, but one never knew. That undying bastard loathed losing commodities. This way he hoped no one would see him and report back. Kenny would find out in time when a regular asked for Kaa, but the longer that took, the happier the snake would be. He turned his attention to Dean, confused at first then smiled. “Kaa,” he said. “Charmed.” “Kaa, that’s cool.” Was that the dude back home who worked at The Den? “So, Kaa, who is Kenny and why do you want him dead?” Dean figured that if they would be sitting together in the car for a bit, some conversation wouldn’t hurt. Maybe he would find out something new and interesting, or maybe it would be a bust. Kaa saw no point in hiding anything. If he was going to stab Kenny in the back, he might as well go for the heart. “My pimp,” he answered in a flat tone. “He will be most put out when I do not return. He will not notice, however, until a client asks for me. By then, I hope to be firmly behind the wizard’s wards.” Then he smirked as his eyes drifted to Dean’s lap. “Are you certain there isn’t some way I can ah...show my gratitude?” “Oh, right, I forgot about that whole paying for sex thing.” He himself had never paid for sex, but maybe it was hard times on this side of the fence. Whatever, none of his business really. His fingers tapped against the wheel as he continued to drive, and they paused upon hearing Kaa’s question. Dean turned his head to look at the other man and noted where his gaze was. “Nope, absolutely no need for any of that. I have someone on the other side, but thanks for the offer.” Kaa chuckled. “Almost all of my clients have someone, Mr. Winchester. It makes no difference between my hands, legs, or lips.” He grinned then slouched a bit more as he let his eyes drift shut. “But, whatever you say.” “Okay, well, I’m not like almost all of your clients. So, yeah, I’m definitely sure of it.” He added, watching him from the corners of his eyes. “You can put the chair back, you know?” What the hell was up with this dude? |
