Too many had died, especially recently - but that meant that Kitty was more determined than ever to take care of the rest of pack - wolves or not - as long as she could. Their dwindling numbers didn't help anyone's morale, but at least it meant that it was easier to find places to hide them, most days - especially with help from the farm and the sanctuary. They'd all learned the hard way that taking the pack to either place would only put lives in danger, but she did what she could in the meantime, while every day making her own plans to try and take out Alex Manes for good.
She was out on a supply run at the moment, driving a van she'd picked up months earlier that had held up so far, and she was alone. While that wasn't the smartest thing to do, Kitty didn't mind doing it sometimes; after all, the Alpha needed to show she wasn't afraid to do what was necessary to keep her people safe. Her windows were down so that she could sniff the air, seeking out any threats, as well as any possible newcomers - when a sudden whiff caused her to slam on the brakes.
That wasn't possible....was it?
Turning her gaze towards a long-since abandoned Starbucks on the corner, Kitty killed the engine and breathed deeper. It was Scott and Allison - but they smelled different, too, with a distinctive lack of wolf attached to the woman's scent. This didn't make sense, because Scott had been killed two days earlier - and it could be a trap, something new Alex had done. Still, if Allison was in danger, she would protect her. A gun and a tranquilizer gun were strapped to each hip, and Kitty unbuckled the tranq before quietly opening the van door and letting it close with a faint sound - all muffled, thanks to a magical charm from Sydney.
Kitty took a few steps towards the Starbucks, then stopped, the tranq gun pointed at the window. "Scott? Allison? If you're in there, come out now, please."
