Scott was trying to keep a brave face, but with so many of the people he knew having either been killed or 'gone missing' which was essentially the same, it was hard to be as positive as he once was in Beacon Hills. Things in Madison were bad and each death Scott took personally even if he had no way of really saving them - he felt like it should have been his job as Alpha to do.
He was making his way back to the small room up above one of the abandoned stores when he heard a scream and then a cry for help. Instinctively he tensed and made a move in that direction, only to stop himself. His fists balled tightly. The last three times he had tried to help people, either it was a trap or it had gotten other people killed. Closing his eyes, he turned back to the path and took a breath to steady himself.
