"Hey! I had nothing to do with it," Pete told John as he nodded his head toward Jack and Fred.
"Snitch!" Jack said with a laugh.
When Artie tossed the folders out on the table, everyone picked up one. Pete opened his and furrowed his brow when he saw the reference to Peter Pan. He was about to ask what was going on but Myka beat him to it. Pete nodded at her before looking at Artie for an answer.
"Story goes, J. M. Barrie met a clockmaker by the name of Peter Elwell. Barrie had wanted to buy an alarm clock from him, but Elwell refused to sell it to him. He ended up modeling Captain Hook after Elwell, saying he was a grumpy man, who only cared about his gadgets," Artie started to explain.
"Sounds like someone I know," Regan muttered.
Artie gave her a look before continuing. "Elwell had a brilliant mind but his father, who was an overbearing jerk, forced him to take over the family business. The reason why he didn't want to sell the alarm clock to Barrie was because it's able to stop and change time," he said.
"Wow," Jack said as he looked down at his file and flipped through a few more pages.
"A museum had it forty years ago but before any Warehouse agents could get it, it vanished. Now I believe it's in Minneapolis or Miami. Myka and Pete will be going to Minneapolis to find it, while John and Caitlin will be going to Miami. The rest of you will stay here and coordinate communication between the two teams," Artie said.
"Hey, wait! How come we don't get to go to Miami?" Pete asked with a pout.
"Because Caitlin's fluent in Spanish, and you aren't," Artie said as Caitlin stuck her tongue out at Pete.
