Sarah barely kept herself from rolling her eyes as Percy's usual pompous tone reared its ugly head. "Percy, look...I wasn't implying...whatever it is you think I was implying. I just..." she trailed off and sucked in a deep breath. Getting hacked off at him wouldn't help Penny at all. Regaining her composure, she gave him a small smile. "I just worry, you know? And I feel bad that I didn't even see her before..."
The unspoken 'she disappeared' hung in the air between them. She sighed. "I appreciate anything you can do."
She turned to pick up his chart; she would drop it off to the Mediwitches station on her way to her next patient. "Oh, and Percy, promise me...don't wait five years for your next checkup." Tossing him a smile to soften her words, she left the room.
