Who: Amycus Carrow, Lavender Brown, Daphne Greengrass
What: The most messed up Detention EVER
When: Monday, 7 March, 1998, evening
Where: DADA Classroom
Rating: Hm. I guess to be on the really safe side I'll say R?
Amycus strode down the stone corridor, his distinctively limping footsteps noisy in the relative quiet that was the after-dinner hour. The school was infinitely better without so many little shitheads underfoot, although about half of the portraits were just as miserable. He'd once been caught by a stupid loudmouthed knight with a fat horse, for blowing his nose on a tapestry, and now they all seemed disgusted or frightened by his disregard for all of the decorations that covered the castle.
It was with even less regard that Amycus turned his mind to the task ahead of him - making sure that the Greengrass girl toughened up already, and that smug, insolent little blond twit got what was coming to her. He didn't even care what Snape thought anymore, for Snape was ruled by the same lord as he and Alecto, one who did not give two knuts what they did to shut the dissenting students up, so long as the rest of them were left to be educated in peace. With every reasonable measure exhausted, it was time for Amycus to try his own brand of educating.
He pulled open the door to the classroom, finding both girls waiting inside. "You don't need your books," snarled Amycus, making his way up to his desk at the head of the room. "Get out your wands, you're going to figure out how to do this damned spell so you can defend against it, or I'm going to take away your ability to even try." It was difficult to throw off a well cast Cruciatus Curse even if you were armed, for doing so required rational thought which, if done properly, would be in short supply. But if they weren't even going to attempt to learn what they were up against, there wasn't hope that they would learn when the curse was necessary, or how to defend against it. With a creak, Amycus settled into his chair, hands folded over his lap as he leaned back to instruct and observe. "Miss Greengrass, you're up first; Miss Brown is on defense. Go."
