There was an odd crackling sound from behind the fortress of knowledge. It didn't sound mechanical- no mechanics worked in Hogwarts. But it was a close approximation. It sounded again.
"Yes hello? Charming? Charming this is Goldstein. Are you receiving? I think I've located Rapunzel, but she's locked up in a tower. How would you go about rescuing her?"
From over the books stood Anthony with his shouldered rucksack spilling over with his own books. He was smiling, albeit a little awkwardly at the pile surrounding Brown. His opening joke out, he shifted a little and gripped his bag strap. "Charming'd probably say kiss her, slay the dragon or employ seven tiny sappers to help out."
He eyed what little space was left on the table. "Can I join in? As you can see the Libraries completely empty but this is my favorite and I think I should fight for it." He smiled again and swallowed. He wasn't sure how his jokes were going down, but they had taken hug effort on his part to do. Why the Charming one alone he'd spent five minutes contemplating as soon as he'd realized it was Lavender behind this stack. "Thanks, I'll be here all week. T-try the gefilte fish."
