Raven was doing her best to keep a level head. She still worried about Charles and seized every opportunity she had to take care of him; whether it was by making him food or taking away the liquor and telling him to get some sleep. Of course she knew she was being hypocritical. She'd be lying if she said some of that liquor didn't make it to her room or that she actually slept more than a couple hours here or there. But, in her opinion, she was doing better than most in the mansion.
On the other side of it, Raven hated waiting between missions. She followed Charles in everything he did and planned, but the time between them was positively brutal for her. She wanted to take action. She wanted more. Patience was never one of Raven's strong suits.
As she went for a walk around the mansion, she was grateful it was cold outside now. Raven hated the heat. The cold did wonders in clearing her head and keeping her calm. When she reached a small garden Raven stopped walking and raised an eyebrow. How long had this thing been there? And who was the idiot who thought they could actually maintain this thing during the cold season? Raven couldn't wait to see how the garden's owner would react to the snow that would surely come in soon.
Kneeling down to look at the plants, Raven had to admit she was a little impressed with how well the garden was doing despite the cold. Whoever maintained it seemed to have a knack for plants. Hearing footsteps behind her she turned around to see Piotr. Of course it would be his garden. Raven's expression turned dark and she narrowed her eyes.
"I'll get out of your way," she said as she straightened up. "Stupid to keep the garden like this, by the way. It's going to snow at some point here. You'd think a Russian would understand that of all people." Sure her comment contradicted what she had just been thinking, but Raven didn't care. She disliked Piotr. OK, so that dislike was bordering hate.
Who did this guy think he was, anyway? He hurt her brother and what? Got a free pass to live in her home now? How could he just move so fluidly between sides? Raven wanted him gone. But, unfortunately, it wasn't her place to send him away. It was Charles'. And whatever Charles said, went. Sometimes she did consider shifting into Charles' form and send Pitor away. But she knew that Charles would figure it out and be angry with her. And Raven would rather put up with the man than make her brother upset.
