Rabbits. Not regular rabbits, they were cartoon rabbits. They were all over. Dancing. Laughing. Diving into holes in the ground. The thing that bothered Kyle most was the fact that he could not smell them. The urge to chase one of them down and serve himself a snack was strong, he likely would be pouncing at the imaginary rodents and making an utter fool of himself if not for the combination of his body's exhaustion and the fact that he could not smell them. If he could not smell it, it was not real. That little fact was drilled deeply into the feral's mind.
Jason had hurried him out of the arena stands and settled him down under a tree as he went in search of water and food for them both. The illusionist had been on edge and Kyle was too distracted by the rabbits and how tired he was to fully comprehend it. All he knew was that he was not taking another step until he got some goddamn meat. Stupid not real rabbits, making his stomach growl.
A large, clawed hand lifted as he scratched into his hair as he stared distantly off. The humidity of the tropical island quickly caused his shirt to press heavily and uneasily against his skin. He snorted before he leaned forward, quickly pulling the shirt over his head and tossed it a short way away. That felt better. Baggy, ripped jeans still covered his legs, clawed, bare feet peeked from beneath these. The thick fur which had previously covered most of his body and gathered thickly at his elbows, knuckles and along his sideburns was gone, leaving him looking surprisingly normal. ...Outside of the claws, fangs, pointed ears, of course. Too bad the change had left him so tired all the damn time.
