The angry questions only earned a beatific smile from him; Skye was too easy going to really get a rise from, but it sure seemed to him like those questions were meant to just distract and confuse him more. So he really should ignore them. "Didn't know it was such a touchy subject," he simply said, hand held up in a placating gesture that might've meant the teasing was over. At least for now.
He never knew quite how far it was okay to push people, so he stopped there before he accidentally went to far (not altogether uncommon), giving himself a chance to focus more on the fight instead. His unexpected attack gave his arm some much needed time to heal, it hurt but in another minute or two he would be able to use it without a problem.
Blocking with only one arm was a bit of a bitch in the meantime though. While he caught the first kick easily, that second one wasn't expected. It rattled him, snapping his head to the side and graying his vision until the pain cleared. He stumbled, but caught himself quickly, straightening up and deciding that having Nox on the defensive was definitely the better idea.
He might have been dizzied by the blow to the head, but it wasn't something he was unaccustomed to and Skye didn't let Nox back off much, not once he was close. He flowed from one style to the next, seamless in the transition from blocking and throwing strikes to grabbing Nox's next punch in an attempt to twist him into a joint lock. If Skye could get him on the ground then he could own this fight and force him to submit.
Grappling with him put him close enough to whisper against Itzal's ear again, not even out of breath from the struggle as he said, "It is fun, you need to lighten up a little, Nox."
