Nox had been disturbed that day by the guards. He was planning on taking this day off but they usually did come and get him to take him to the training room around this time as per his request. "I thought I told you that I was taking off today." He spoke darkly and lowly, glaring at them as he was getting dressed. Of course they didn't have much of an answer for him. "Don't stare too much." He jeered at them, distaste obvious in his voice. Instead of fighting, he decided it was a sign that he should train just a bit more. He slipped on one of his favorite tank tops and his cargo pants and some wraps for his hands. On his way out, the guards delightfully informed him that he would have a partner today.
Itzal thought to himself, pleased. "Well, this should certainly spice things up." He admitted as they moved along to meet up with the other mutant. It was Skye. The shade had seen him around the island and watched him fight before. He was fairly beastly. This definitely was what he needed. To fight someone who could withstand a lot of attacks but in a physical setting. However, he figured Skye wasn't just going to sit there. The young man admired the other man's enthusiasm. "I suppose you really want to play or you really want a piece of me." He laughed, following his statement.
Nox looked over at the other man. "I suppose you'll be a fun partner to play with." He said reasonably nonchalantly. "Do be careful with me. I'll play nice if you do." The young shade smirked at the other. He was feeling rather fun himself. Skye was obviously an infectious person. He aligned himself across from Skye, figuring he would obviously lose in a hand to hand situation. Even if he does lose, he would have to hold out as long as possible. "So, should we make any bets to this sparing match?" He asked, trying to make the other somewhat contemplative.
Once he was across from him, and hoping that Skye was still thinking, if at all, he waited for a brief moment. He decided the other man would figure out that he was ready. Of course he would, after Itzal threw a punch straight for the other man's face. He had no intention of actually connecting with his face. He was hoping it would be blocked, actually. His true intention was the kick that coming from underneath, aimed straight for the gut.
