Who: Anole and Damphyr When: Tuesday evening Where: Vic's cell in Yellow What: Mason finally stops avoiding the lizard Warning: Language Victor had been miserable over the long weekend, Monday had been a busy day despite it being a Monday because there was apparently some holiday? Vic had very little concepts of holidays outside of Christmas, New Years and Mardi Gras. Those were the big ones here, Christmas was usually slow except for the really miserable, lonely people, New Years was a huge, drunken turn out and Mardi Gras was another big party which was usually stressful for the female mutants on the island.
Vic had spent the day working at the Coffee Shop, still without sight or sound of Mason, and by the time he was off his shift, his stomach was being gnawed open by worry. He decided to invite the young girl that his Block Leader had hooked him up with to his cell. She was neon pink from head to toe, and in a way reminded him of Violet, another person he was worried about. He was a mentor to her, showing her it was ok to be different, and she had been quite fascinated by his new, enlarged arm. They had spent a few hours sitting and chatting, and were currently swapping Pokemon through the wireless on their DS, hers was a pink number, while Vic had ordered a special green snake skin skin for his DS. Both were oh so fitting for each of them. Vic was sending her a level 78 Charizard so she could power through a dungeon, and even had room to level it up before it stopped listening to her. Vic could always restart his Red game and send himself and power level a Charmander again.
He was pleased that the bubbly girl had not noticed how forced his smiles were, how thin his good mood was spread. It was getting late at last and was nearing time for her to go back to the nursery area. Vic gave the girl a big hug and offered her some candy to take back with her, candy was always in high demand on the island, among the children just as much as among the adults. He held her small pink hand in his spiked green one, leading her to the door and the guard waiting there to escort her back. At least it had been a nice distraction.
