Wade, watching Vic pick up the desk with his one hand and put it back down, took a moment to examine the others backside for any sign of a tail while the others back was to him, bringing his eyes back up to the others face as he turned back around like he hadn't just been staring intently at the others rear.
"Oh I think I could bring it up for debate." He laughed a little. "I don't have abilities. I'm not special. I just heal fast! That's normal, isn't it? And if it isn't, it should be." He nodded as if to affirm himself. "Maybe I'll kick ass and take names until they let me go." Though, in the back of Wade's head, he knew he wasn't ever going to go anywhere, and even if he was ever let loose, he'd have nothing to return home to. He'd been 'missing' for two years; all his employers probably thought he was dead and all his contacts have probably well moved on by now. "I... I can convince them in seven different... languages." He paused, "Okay. That makes me sound like a freak but I promise I'm just really good at picking up languages. I'm not as stupid as I look."
He knew Vic wasn't calling him stupid, but a lot of other people seemed to think he was no brighter than a doormat and he didn't want people in this new place to think he was some sort of brainless killer. Finally, he hears something out of Vic's mouth that made him bristle.
"Owners? Oh, Hell no. No one is going to be owning me. I have a bad issue with people trying to say they 'own' me." He replied, rather aggressively. His father had told him that Wade was nothing but property once, and he hated that. He was about to apologize for the way he'd snapped though when this shrill yell came from the middle of the hall, causing Wade to glare at the door.
Getting up he stalked to the door and peeked out, seeing this little shrimp of a thing standing down the hall. "Some people, are trying to have a CONVERSATION!" He practically roared at the other, then ducked back into his room, looking to the lizard-man. "If your nickname is Vickie to some short stuff, I think he's looking for you." He said with a shrug, sitting back down on his bed.
