Wade Wilson ([info]mercenary_wade) wrote in [info]athinblackline,
After the fight, Wade was brought to the medical wing to get checked out, slightly surprised when the medical members there hung around him for a moment, all staring at the cut on his temple. It'd already scabbed, even though it was a stress wound; the kind where an impact stretches the skin to the tearing point, as was normal with any kind of injury near the eyes or head. The wound would usually require stitches, but it was well on its way to being healed.

"Well, his wrist is still broken." One of the doctors, said, casting Wade's wrist as the other groaned and grunted in pain. "It may be a healing factor, but if it is, it isn't that quick, or effective on bone damage, only on tissue damage. Have the lab look into it. I'd like to know personally, how long to keep this cast on him" Great. A cast. Maybe he could make some friends and he could have them sign it or something, he thought with a sigh, sitting up as they wrapped an ace bandage around his torso to support his broken rib.

"Hopefully it won't take that long to heal, I use that hand to uh..." He laughed, then frowned when a guard scowled at him. "You guys just don't know how to take a joke here, do you?" He asked, the guard getting him to his feet and bringing him back to his cell, squeaky clean and bandaged up. He'd slept through the night well, and without nightmares, which he was thankful for. He didn't report to breakfast because he figured he'd hide out for a little bit until he was really hungry enough to get up.

When he heard a knock on the door he opened his eyes; he hadn't been sleeping, just laying there with his eyes closed so he didn't have to keep staring at the ceiling and making shapes out of the water stains. He looked over to the doorway, his eyes going slightly wide at the others appearance as he sat up, hissing at the pain in his ribs as he did so.

"Celebrity?" He asked, cocking his head to the side some. "I'm no celebrity. But if it means I get chocolate I'll say just about anything. Celebrity, I can deal with that." Even if the guy did look like some huge freak and Wade was more than a little unnerved by his appearance, it was food, and it was being brought to him instead of him getting up, so he'd go with it.

He assumed the alien-thing was talking about the fight last night. He also assumed word traveled fast around here. "Hey, I was just doing what I had to in order to survive. I wasn't about to be Bubba's next meal. I tried to reason with the guards but apparently they weren't interested in money, booze, women or men... not that I really have any of that to offer." He said, scratching the back of his neck before offering his hand to the other. Might as well get it over with. He hoped the other didn't feel all scaly and gross. "Wade Wilson. Rumor says guards are calling me the 'Deadpool' since people who placed a joke bet on me won a huge pot of money last night since well, I'm still here."
