Who: Anole and Damphyr
When: Late Sunday night
Where: Anole's room, Yellow Block
What: Mason and Vic are both having bad nights, but together they somehow make it better.
Notes: Log format, short tags but long scene
Vic lay back on his bed, sighing slowly as he stared at the ceiling. He was worried, and had been for days. Violet was not in a good way, and he'd just heard rumors that she had been moved to solitary in medical. There wasn't a clear reason why, but there were whispers that she'd killed a human. A big, bad crime in Revolve. His lips were pulled into a worried frown, one hand moving over his bony head, fingers tracing his front most spike as he stared off. He glanced over toward the door, wondering if Mason would come to visit. He hoped so, he knew he could be a little on the needy side from time to time, but right now he really was worried and could use someone to lean on. He was wearing a pair of loose black pants with no shirt, his lean form spread out over the bed
--
He'd been feeling restless today. His memories of the tournament were cloudy at best, but he did know some shit had went down, some major shit. It pissed him off that the shit involved him yet even if asked he couldn't really accurately describe what exactly had went on. The tall, skinny male gave a sigh as he stalked down the hallway, a lit cig clenched between his pale lips. He was wearing a pair of black jeans today and no shirt, as he'd found it was goddamned hot in here. His boot covered feet slapped against the floor of the block as he crept along, stopping for a moment at Vic's door, not yet trying to enter, but he extended a pale hand to push on the door, to make it crack open, using that tiny pace to peer in, as if to check what the green man was up to.
--
The door was unlocked and already open a small bit, as Vic always seemed to welcome guests, the social creature he was. He was doing nothing it seemed, a faintly troubled look on his face. His left arm reached around, lightly stroking the hard scales on his right arm. He was still adjusting to the new appendage, but the way he could hardly feel things through the scales on it was faintly confusion.
--
He poked his head a bit towards the crack in the door, his nose pushing the door a bit more open and finally he crept in without a word. His mismatched eyes focused on the other male and he cleared his throat a bit now as he waited to be seen, though he had yet to say anything, watching that look on the other's face.
--
Victor perked up at the scent of cigarette smoke. he was not a fan of it, but Mason was making him feel... more fond of it. He blinked as a hint of a smile tugged at his lips. "Hey... I was just thinking of you." The smile was genuine, but it did not reach his eyes, there as too much on his mind at the moment, too much ache in his chest fo rhim to really warm entirely
--
He didn't find that surprising, seemed he was on the other's mind a lot these days, from what he'd experienced so far anyway. He took a long drag of his cigarette, shuddering slightly. He hadn't been..feeling there best the first few days since the tournament, it was as if he...needed something he wasn't getting, but Victor didn't need to know that. "So...what's your problem?" Came the rather point blank question.
--
Vic shifted back, patting the bed as if hoping mason would come sit or lay with him. He anted to cuddle, and he was not ashamed to admit it! ...okay maybe a little, but no one needed to know that
--
Mason gave a rough sigh, not saying why he was sighing, however. He moved to go and place his skinny behind on the edge of the bed though, smoking away like a chimney as he did so.
--
He watched him smoke, laying his head on the pillow as one hand moved up and down that thin back, green eyes hooded. "Violet's in solitary, rumors are she killed someone. Human, maybe." Mason hardly knew the girl, but he seemed to give at least something of a shit about the people Vic cared about. "...what's with you?" he asked softly, eyes gentle as he watched that pale face. "You're puffing like there's no tomorrow.."
--
It wasn't strange that Mason was smoking, he did so fairly often, but one might notice the cigarette pack in his pants pocket because it was half poking out--it was three fourths empty..surely he hadn't smoked all that today, had he? He grunted at the news. "So? I've done that a couple times before." He'd paid the price each time too. It was hard to tell if he thought about it beyond that, eyes hooding and he looked away when Vic asked, it perhaps obvious to one that knew him that he was hiding something. "Don't know." He offered oh so helpfully.
--
"..I hope she's ok." He whispered, trouble touching his features again as his hand slid down Masaon's arm, trying to take the taller's hand in his own. He looked at that pack, then up at Mason. He'd been very worried about Violet... was Mason in trouble too? Had that somehow missed his attention? He winced slightly, concern knitting his green brow. What kind of friend was he, that people in his life kept being in trouble and he kept not noticing? "anything I can do?" he asked gently, trying to catch Mason's eye.
--
"She'll be allright. The woman can take care of herself." He said gruffly, eyes hooding a little. Perhaps it wasn't really true, but from the brief time they'd spent together that was his assessment about the situation and as far as he was concerned, it was accurate enough. He took a long puff of the cigarette, then he licked his lips, looking down at the green male, brows furrowing at his reaction "I'm fine." He murmured, thus seemingly brushing aside the offer of help, but one might notice he avoided Victor's line of sight.
--
"I hope you're right... she was really in a bad way last time we spoke. I wonder if this will make it better or worse? I don't want to see her hurt," he sighed. He then focused on Mason, his eyes narrowing a small bit as he watched the man shift uneasily. "You're lying ot me." he said flatly, a simple, but not stinging accusation. "What's going on? Tell me, please.." he asked, squeezing his hand softly
--
"She'll get through it if she really wants to. If she don't..well, maybe it's her time, then." He murmured under his breath, not exactly seeming too sympathetic, but then again, look at the source and how he was usually treated and the way he acted, it would be quite out of character for him to be worried very highly about someone..or at least to show it. "I fucking told you." He growled, suddenly sounding..a little aggressive, but not alarmingly so yet. "I. Don't. Know." He grit his teeth a little, suddenly giving what seemed like a few involuntary shakes. Shakes? Oh dear, was he using something again?
--
Victor sighed, averting his eyes and nodding. Mason was right, of course, there was nothing he could do and only Vi herself could pull her out of this. He tensed at hearing that growl, his hand quickly releasing Mason's, he looking up at him with a very worried frown. What was with everyone? Everyone was so uptight. He noted those shakes, brows knitting. "...did you take something?" he asked in a thin whisper, worry lighting his face.
--
It was very likely he was being too harsh, but it wasn't very commonplace for Mason to ever realize such a thing before it was too late. He shrugged a little at this, not exactly seeming certain..or was he still trying to just keep it from him? "I could've..." He said gruffly. How was it that he could have? Wouldn't he know if he did or not?
--
"...could have?" He asked, brows knitting. "What could you have taken? ..did you take it?" he asked thinly.
--
"Fuck if I know. All I know was it was somethin' in a needle and I'm pretty damned sure it was a stimulant." He murmured, hand quivering as he took another drag of his cig.
--
"...did Roger give it to you?" Mason's owner as an ass and had apparently started... testing things, pushing things, trying to figure out how to better use his mutant. It bothered Vic to no end, but there was little he could do about it all anyway. "have you gotten blood lately?"
--
"I remember someone sticking a needle in my ass about a half hour before the tournament. The bitch claimed it was a 'booster shot', but fuck, it pissed me off to no end..did you see what I did to that guy I first faced?" He asked, wondering if the other had seen or heard about this.
--
"No I missed it... and didn't ask," he added softly, averting his eyes. He hated thinking about Mason fighting, giving a faint sigh and shrugging. "Was it bad? I wonder why he's doing all this now, I mean, it's such a sudden change." Vic had no idea about the odd experience Mason had so long ago, as the stubborn mutant had not told Vic anything about it
--
"I went batshit and sucked a good amount of his blood..not sure if he survived or not, they never told me..but from what I'm told they had ta peel me off from him." He said gruffly, shaking his head a little at this. He paused at Victor's question, as if he had an idea why himself, but did not choose to share it.
--
He frowned, growing a tiny bit yellow/pale at hearing that, shifting ot sit up and put his arms around the taller, a gentle hug to try and assure him. "...what a mess. But... there's something you're not telling me," he chided very gently
[--
"Then there I am, giving someone else shit for killing in the ring when it's not a deathmatch." He sighed. "All I really am is a big fuckin' hypocrite." He said dryly, not sounding as if the idea bothered him that much, just that he was annoyed by it. "Th' hell do ya mean?" He added, peering down at the smaller at his last announcement.
--
"You were angry... we... all do things, Mason. things we don't want to and are not proud of. We don't really get a choice here, it's just how it is," he tried to comfort him softly, reaching to run his fingers through that long hair. "You twitched." he announced, a hint of as mile tugging at his lips. "Your eye, it does this little, half twitch when you lie, and are worried about lying. Your body doesn't like it so... don't do it." he teased. "Tell me."
--
"Maybe not..I'm just sayin I don't really practice what I preach..not that that's prolly a very big surprise." He murmured under his breath now, letting him touch his hair as he half closed his eyes, adding with a frown, "Well...a few months back I had this..odd experience, that's all."
--
"We don't really get a choice here," he reminded softly. They did something to you... you couldn't help yourself." he was trying to make his lover feel better, it felt as if he failed every time he tried to comfort a friend lately. "Tell me about it," he urged softly, continuing to stroke his hair.
--
"I know, I know..." He murmured, seeming to indeed be aware of this, closing his eyes all the way for a moment, seeming to receive the hair stroking rather favorably. "Well, I like..blacked out or something when I was supposed to be working and woke up..somewhere else..like underground or some shit from how it seemed." He answered.
--
"Underground?" he echoed with a faint frown. "Well, I'm sure there's lower levels of Revolve that they don't want us to know about.." he mused softly, concern still lighting his eyes.
--
"Yeah....then I heard my owner's voice and some voice I didn't recognize, talking about how to..bring out my 'potential' and that he had ta start tryin' harder and doin different things..then the lights flashed and the walls were smeared with blood and it got ta me...then they let out what I /think/ were a bunch of humans, then the lights went off, and the next thing I remember is wakin up outside the haunted house covered in blood..I figured it was some kinda fucked up dream but now I ain't so sure.."
--
"That... doesn't sound good at all.." He frowned faintly, brows knitting up as he watched him. "I wonder what he's planning?" he asked softly, shaking his head iwth a troubled look.
--
"Fuck if I know..and the voice I heard, the guy sounded like he had an accent or somethin." He murmured, frowning slightly.
--
"Well I can't help you with accents," he said with a soft chuckle, his eyes hooding. Victor had never been off the island, recognizing an accent was far out of his league. "Well," he murmured, sighing softly. "Whatever it is, I'm sure it's no good," he frowned.
--
He shrugged. "What the fuck can I do about it? Not a whole fat hell of a lot." He sighed now.
--
"So this was a part of it," he whispered, frowning. "To unlock your 'potential,' he wants to turn you into a killer." He frowned, turning to press his face into Masons' skinny back, hugging him gently
--
He shrugged. "I kinda am that anyway, ain't I?" He asked, not seeming particularly bothered by it as he had killed before and knew he probably would again.
--
"Not like they want to make you," he frowned, shaking his head
--
"What makes you think they'll get anywhere?" He asked, a bit..concerned about it himself, really, but he wasn't about to tell him that.
--
"I hope they won't," he said softly, honestly as he ran his hadn down the other's back agian, his eyes gentle and concerned
--
"I'll be allright." He told the lizard man, not wanting him to worry about him as he knew he would unless he was told this, peering into his eyes.
--
"You always say that," he chuckled quietly, leaning further into him now
--
"And I always am, ain't I?" He retorted, chest puffing out a little as if he dared him to disagree.
--
"Maybe," he sighed softly, shaking his head.
--
"What the fuck d'ya mean, maybe?" He demanded to know with a frown, peering down at the worrisome male.
--
"You know me," he murmured, wrapping his arms about the other, eyes closing. "I'll worry until one or both of us are dead," eh chuckled softly, turning his face to kiss his shouldr, eyes falling closed
--
"Well, that ain't gonna happen so ya better give it up." He urged now, wrapping his slender, though strong arms around the other's body now.
--
He smiled a she leaned into that slim body, nodding. "Thank you, Mason," he whispered into his neck, his eyes closing. "I know I worry too much but... I did nee dot hear it," he smiled.
--
"You sure as fuck do." He replied quietly now, soon dropping his head, attempting to kiss at Victor's throat now, not very heavily, it more of a gentle kind of gesture, this perhaps surprising coming from this male.
--
He blinked, but a quiet moan did leave him at the attention, a smile touching his lips. "...I knew you'd know how to cheer me up, "he whispered
--
"How didya know? Have ya turned into a future reader?" He asked softly now, opening his mouth for a moment, peering down at the other's neck, then over at his eyes.
--
"When it comes to how you make me feel? Yes," he smiled warmly, reaching to run a hand down the side of the taller's face. He swallowed slowly before speaking softly, "...you can bite me if you want.."
--
The taller, pale male looked a little surprised at this, still peering down at the one in his arms. "You sure about that?" He asked, seeming a little hesitant to do that.
--
"Why would I mind?" he asked as he looked into those dark eyes. "You might turn green, so Id' think you'd be the one that would mind it..' he teased softly
--
"I prolly would...I never tried your blood before so I'm not very sure what it might do to me." He replied, giving a low chuckle at the thought of himself turning green.
--
"You might get my tongue," he suggested playfully licking it far out with another chuckle. "Would green really be that bad?" he asked iwth a playful pout. "Am I really that hideous?"
--
"Heh...no, you ain't that hideous...no more so then me and my big fucking nose." He assured, running his hands down the other's waist now on either side.
--
"I like your big fucking nose," he teased iwth a soft smile, moving to lean into him a bit more
--
"Why?" He asked playfully, slipping his arms totally around him again, eyes half closing as they rubbed up against one another.
--
"Because, it's you. very you," he said brightly, chuckling lowly as he nuzzled into him.
--
".....That didn't tell me anythin', Victor." He said lowly, smirking a slight touch at this, turning his head so his lips grazed past his neck again.
--
"Like you've ever been logical," he teased softly, tilting his head to offer up more of his neck
--
"Th' hell do ya mean? I'm always logical." He replied with a slight grin, awarding that tilt with a few heavy kisses.
--
he chuckled, his body shifting up into those lips, his eyes hooded with a warm look. "Go ahead and bite, if you like.."
--
His curiosity WAS running away with him, but he had to wonder if he dared bite him as he wasn't sure what would happen if he did. He did indeed hesitate slightly before finally he did as the other mentioned, biting down in a shallow manner though, not wanting to hurt him too bad.
--
He smiled and let his fingers slide through Mason's hair again, a smile on his lips as he tilted his head back to allow more. he was curious himself, how did his lover feel when biting someone? How would it make him feel? It was interesting, and a very tempting question.
--
That pale body quivered just slightly as that blood met his mouth, then his lips, he finding the taste was indeed...different. Not bad, however, just..different, as though it had a different kind of spice to it or something. "Ohhh.." He moaned softly as this continued.
--
He shuddered under those lips, his eyes closing as a soft moan slipped past his lips. There was a hint of pain, a prick of it, but then it felt good, and the way the other moaned tempted him further, his brows knitting up as he shuddered
--
He took a bit more from him before he drew back, drawing his tongue over the wounds once in order to help with the clotting, giving a small shudder of his own as he then looked into the other's eyes silently.
--
"..how was it?" he asked, voice a low, rumbled question
--
"Good.....different, but as they say...variety's the spice a'life.." He said softly now.
--
He smiled, his cheeks a bit brown despite how pale he was, nodding. "I'm glad you enjoyed it.." he said softly
--
He smirked a little at this, he feeling a little..odd, and Victor might notice he DID have a green tinge to his ever so pale skin...
--
He blinked, then gave a lot chuckle, running his fingers down his cheek. "You are a little green," he chuckled. "I wonder if you can stick to walls..."
--
"That ain't surprisin.." He replied, mismatched eyes hooding just a little. "I'll have to try it later, that'd be a new tactic for me for work." He mused.
--
He chuckled, his eyes glittering at the idea, nodding. "I wonder if you can wall crawl... tongue feeling funny?" He asked, flicking his tongue out.
--
"...Nope. Shit, that was one I was hopin' to have." He replied with a small smirk now, it probably not surprising that that would indeed be one of the things he would want.
--
"Hou naughty monster," he teased iwth a grin, tugging him in closer to kiss him deeply.
--
"Now how the hell would you think that was naughty?" He replied oh so innocently before letting him kiss him, returning that kiss in the same way.
--
He didn't bother replying, chuckling as he watched the taller iwth a smile. "You do look good in green," he smiled, tugging him closer.
--
He did seem to be now a light shade of green, not too dark though. "Ya think so?" He asked, looking in surprise down at one of his hands.
--
He nodded, eyes glittering. "though I am biased," he reminded, shifting closer to him. "...stay tonight, please?" he suddenly asked softly, finding he truly did not wan tot be alone.
--
"I'll stay, so don't worry about THAT too." He teased lightly, shifting a little closer with a tiny grunting noise at this time.
--
"I'll try not to," he teased softly, running his fingers down the other's cheek. "Thank you... may day got much better when you arrived," he smiled
--
"Yer always so damned mushy. Never thought I'd meet a mushy reptile." He murmured thoughtfully, gripping him rather tightly suddenly.
--
"Don't even pretend that you don't like it," he teased, shifting to kiss his lips. "Never thought I'd shack up with a surly vampire..
--
"Life's jus' full a surprises, ain't it?" He asked dryly at that comment, eyes flashing a slight bit.
--
"Yeah, I guess so," he smiled breathing a slow sigh. "So... how many training sessions do you have this week?" he asked
--
"Three that I know of..and I don't wanna fucking go to any of em." He growled softly.
--
"I'm with you there... at least you have the house to escape to?" he suggested
--
"I guess so...wish I could just skip the sessions but they'd find me and make me go if I did that.." He muttered now.
--
"Yeah... same here. Someone told Ric I skipped most of mine and now he's all over me," he muttered
--
"Fuckers. I'd kick his ass for you if I could." He assured now.
--
"I'd rather kick the ass of your owner," he grumbled softly, glaring at the camera he knew was in his room, as if he dared whoever was listening in to get him into trouble for saying that. "I'm just glad I've got you," he added honestly.
--
"Yeah, he's pretty much a bastard, ain't he?" He sighed quietly now, giving a nod at his next words, placing his arms around Victor once more, just closing his eyes then.
--
"Well, he didn't seem so terrible before, but now.." he frowned, a sigh leaving him as his eyes lowered. "I wish I could make things better for you.."
--
"Thinks ain't that bad fer me." He assured, not wanting to sound like one of those fucking 'emo' people, that shit did nothing but annoy him.
--
"Things are bad for everyone," he chuckled, shaking his head. "It's the way it is on Revolve."
--
"Things could be a lot fucking worse." He said flatly, pulling away from him, moving to lay on his back and look up at the ceiling. Seemed he wasn't in total agreement.
--
"Good point," he said softly, shifting to lay down next to him, sighing as he watched the other's face. "...tell me something about the outside world," he suddenly asked. It was a habit of his, asking about the 'out there', the world he had never, and likely would never know. "...something not terrible or depressing," he added
--
"If that's whatcha want, ask someone else, cause most of my life was fucking terrible, even outside'a' here. That's part of the reason why these 'freedom seekers' piss me off. For me freedom was as bad as bein' in here." He sighed roughly, this being one of there first times he'd really said this aloud.
--
he blinked, genuinely surprised by that answer, he sucking in a small breath of surprise and sat silently a few moments to let it all register. "...I see. I'm... sorry." he murmured, knowing Mason did not want to hear that, but what more could he say?
--
"They talk about 'bein' free' and all this fancy talk they think makes 'em seem a million times smarter then us. Fuck, they're so full of shit they smell from a mile away, every single one of 'em." He murmured bitterly, apparently ignoring the other's apology.
--
"...I guess I don't have to ask if you were as unhappy out there as in here ever..." he murmured distantly after a long pause, resting his cheek against mason's chest with a distant, sat look
--
"I was unhappy the day I was born, and how couldn't I be? Bein' told yer an accident every single day don't make for a happy kid." He said, halfway closing his eyes now.
--
"Well," Vic said softly, a chuckle leaving him. "There are times when being told you're too much of a freak to be able to exist in the world without supervision and you're being locked up for your own good doesn't feel much better." he could sympathize, he and Mason simply approached things differently.
--
It was hard to tell what Mason's reaction to that particularly was, because he didn't say anything, he only pulled out a cig, and searched in his pockets for his lighter, lighting up once he found it.
--
"In bed?" he half whined, half scolded, closing one eye, though he did not comment further, closing his eyes and trying to relax against that long body, wishing that his presence could help soothe the wounds the other obviously carried.
--
"Yea." He answered, allowing the other to move against him though, he giving a small sigh as he shook his head a little. "Maybe it'd be better for me if I could...not be so angry." He let out a longer sigh, "But fuck if I know how."
--
"Is there anything I could do to help?" he asked softly. "I hate seeing you upset.' he ran his fingers down that slim chest, closing his eyes to take in the other's scent
--
"Naw. When I get this way I just gotta let it go away on its own." He replied, taking a drag of that cig. "So..if ya ever wanna join those guys..leave me the hell outta it."
--
"I'm... kind of scared by it all," he said softly. "It's like a fairy tale.... I can't imagine anything so different. I'm sure that sounds stupid.." he sighed
--
"It is pretty different." He agreed gruffly.
--
"It sounds like it," he sighed softly, leaning deeper back into the bed.
--
He smoked his cig now, just keeping his eye on the other, laying against him a bit.
--
"..I hope you don't get pushed too hard in training." he said softly
--
"I'll be allright..I don't let m'self get pushed around that easy." He assured.
--
"Still," he frowned softly. "I'm worried about you. But then again, I always worry," he reminded with a chuckle
--
"Yea, ya do, don'tca?" He asked with a small half smile for a moment, head cocked a little to one side.
--
"They have a way of pushing here, and you, my dear friend, have a lot of buttons," he reminded softly, a smile tugging at his lips
--
"Damn, I do have quite a few a those, don't I?" He asked, sounding almost amused at this currently.
--
"Yes you do." He agreed, a hint of brown coming to his cheeks suddenly. "...and it seems I'm one of them.."
--
"Uh huh...yers must be a green button, and it's pretty damned big I think..dunno how it got ta be like that.." He murmured.
--
He smiled, closing his eyes. "Heh, you know, I was kind of worried at first," he said, shaking his head. "I was worried I was just a fuck buddy, that maybe you didn't really want me, just some fun. Guess I learned otherwise back at the beach." He said warmly
--
"You were...don't know what the fuck exactly happened.." Came the puzzled reply as he put out the cig (on the wall no less) and turned now to face his bedpartner once more.
--
He chuckled, brows lifting a little. "New arm? That could've done it. But then you'd just be after me for my arm<" he teased, holding up the huge, thickly scaled green appendage
--
"That's hot." He murmured lowly once again as he stared at it, reaching out to touch it now.
--
"I'm glad you like it." he chuckled as he rested the large, clawed hand against the taller's stomach. "because I'm still not used to it."
--
"You'll get used to it, don't worry." He assured quietly now, one hand soon shifting up against those claws.
--
"I hope so," he smiled, letting Mason explore it. "I can feel a little better than I can through my carapace, but not much. The scales are thick," he murmured.
--
"That's so fuckin odd how that happened..." He murmured as he rubbed and felt at the strange arm, examining it quite thoroughly.
--
Spikes protruded at his shoulder and around his elbow, the scales thick and strong, long, pointed claws tipping each finger. It was almost as large around as Victor's own middle, and was quite the powerhouse. "Yeah, I suppose I could get the other arm to do the same if I wanted to cut it off but... I think I'll pass. I've had offers," he added with a chuckle.
--
He didn't imagine the other would want his other arm to be like this, though it would probably make him tougher. "Is it harder to move around with this thing?" He asked curiously.
--
"Its... different. Thicker, heavier, it feels more clumsy but i"m sure I'll get used to it in time," he added with a faint sigh, shaking his head
-
"Yeah, that would take time to get used to." He assured softly.
--
He nodded. "And not being able to feel things the same way is definitely a change," he chuckled, shaking his head agian
--
"The armor on this thing is fucking awesome." He murmured deeply now, giving a slight smirk at this.
--
He chuckled, shaking his head. "Glad someone thinks so. I kind o fliked my old one but... guess I can't go back. And this isn't so bad," he added.
--
"Yeah...least you still have an arm, ya coulda lost it altogether, that would have really sucked ass." He murmured quietly.
--
"Yeah," he agreed with a nod befor ehis eyes glittered. "That is why I am trying not to complain too much."
--
He nodded a little at this now, shifting to wrap his arms around him and close his eyes.
--
We've been talking a while," he suddenly murmured, noticing the clock. "How'd it get so late?" he asked, relaxing into those thin arms
--
"Fuck if I know, but we should prolly go to sleep sometime this century." He chuckled.
--
"Yeah, good point," he smiled, letting his eyes close after shifting to press a peck of a kiss on the taller's cheek.
--
"G'night, green man." He murmured now, smirking a bit as he then attempted to go to sleep.
--
"Good night, my vampire" he smiled as he reached to run his fingers through the other's hair once, soon dozing off in those thin arms.
