"Mind your tongue, child, before someone minds it for you." Deep set eyes snapped to the male who had spoken so very out of turn, their cold edge slowly creeping back in as he spoke. His words were a warning, he was in no mood for pitiful attempts to create an argument. "You're owned as well, which makes you no better. At least Kyle can win a fight. You on the other hand, don't seem even worth the easy effort to break." He smiled, a bit amused and moved closer, becoming an easy threat to the boy, meanhile focusing closer on the woman who had spoken to him.
It was easier to be cordial with someone whom was not involved with the snarled remarks that were starting to fly about, and Jason had no intention of getting her completely wrapped up in it. He did, however, crouch down next to her, a light smile on his lips. "Were you enjoying the sun before the ruffian beside you began to ruin it with his poor attitude? A lady should always accompany pleasentries."
Having another person to focus his frustrations on seemed to help his ability to speak with her in a comfortable fashion. Yes, he knew, yes, he was aware of all the things that were still not hashed out between them, but until then he could manage. It helped to notice the antsy, anxious look on the face of the unknown aggressor as he did so, flashing a gentle smile at the other as well. Would it make him more nervous to have another male next to Violet? Was he staking a claim on her? Would he try to run them all off? It was amusing enough to consider. Drama was a joke to him, and this was only going to get better, or worse, depending on who crossed what lines.
And today, those lines would be very easy to see. He had zero intention of stopping himself if it came to a fight. His mood was too severe, too edgy, too dangerous to really be stopped by a whole lot. Once that started, it would end in bloodshed.
Until then, he would relax in the sun between his friend and his friends exlover.
