Mad you say....we're all mad here.
Who: Ribbon & NPCs
When: 2:30 Friday Morning
Where: Near Black Block
What: Ribbon's collar has been deactivated and she wants to know why. Unfortunately, on her way to answers, she gets into a fight with another mutant on Black Black and cuts him to pieces.
Ribbon was currently being kept in the dark out beyond Black Block, why? Because it was extremely late and she should have been locked up in her cell because she could be terribly uncooperative about going back when she put her mind to it. Therefore, Ernie and Geno found it easier to just keep her as far from the populated areas as possible when she was in violation of the rules. That way, they could ostenisbly keep people safe while allowing Ribbon to have the free reign she was going to get whether people liked it or not. At least this way, they could pretend they had some significant control over what was done.
The sudden audible awareness her collar had deactivated wasn't a noise detectable by her handlers. Their normal human ears couldn't detect the faint hum of the collars internal power system shutting down. Ribbon twitched in response, now what the hell was going on? She hadn't done anything to it. Not that she couldn't do something to it, but she hadn't done anything to it. There was no reason for it to shut down. Ribbon made a discontent sound.
Something was wrong. Ribbon did not like things to go wrong because lately the things that went wrong, went wrong in rather spectacular fashions. She was aware enough to notice that kind of thing.
The woman dropped out the tree and started in the direction of the portal to the underground. Her handlers watched her with confusion until her chain jerked Ernie off his feet.
"HOLD ON! The only place we're going is back to the block."
She turned her paper white face back in their direction and then neatly snapped the chain holding them to her. Then she made one simple gesture: pointing. She was pointing in the direction of Red Block as if telling them to go home. Ribbon then took off in a lopping, ground eating run.
Getting to the edge of the block, an energy blast came at her from the side and she blocked it with automatic motions. It wasn't of the right grade to cut through her defenses. The boy was commonly called Spark. Why, she didn't know and didn't care. All that mattered was that he was Black Block and he was not on allowed out after curfew. So something had to have let him out. He came at her with what he had. Ribbon went at him, forgetting her previous interest in favor of cutting him quite literally to ribbons. It didn't take long and by the time she left his dismembered corpse soaking into the grass, the sounds of combat were all around her. The intention had been to go into the underground, work her way into the compound, and get to Shy. But with so many running loose, if she breached the defenses of the compound it was only opening the doors to others. Someone else was going to have to deal with Shy. Father would know what to do. Her next opponent was coming at her. Thinking time was over.
