It was as they were eating that the locks on the doors clicked open with a soft buzz, and she looked up at him, meeting his eyes.
"It seems we are released for the day," she said with a hint of a smile up at him, finishing her cereal, and walking to the sink to wash out the bowl and spoon. It only took her a moment, but she didn't want to leave dirty dishes for him in payment for his kindness to her.
"I think I'll be alright to get back to my room alone. I'm sure you have other things to do with your time, and you've already been so very kind to me."
