Who: Ginny and Forever and Gambit When: March 22, 11 am Where: White Block What: Ginny goes to meet her other new purchase.
Ginny was feeling a bit bemused as she walked out of the white block owner's office, yet another sheaf of papers in hand. She'd purchased Gambit the day before, and his injuries had astounded her. Her bloody nose had received more consideration than his torn out throat and mangled leg and that just would not do. At all.
And so she had gone first thing the next morning to the white block and had bought the healing mutant who had tended her nose.
It got easier the second time. That was something she'd have to think about later. How easy it was to buy a living breathing sentient being. But that wasn't what she wanted to think about now. For now, she was focused on her goal. Meeting the newest member of her household and giving her instructions that she hoped the healer wouldn't mind. She really wanted Gambit to be in the best of shape. As she'd said to his old owner, it wasn't about the money. It was about the sport. And her team would have the best.
And so she marched, feeling like the general of an army, to the cell door noted on her new contract. She'd paid a fortune for this mutant, but that was all right. The look of respect she'd gotten from the block owner told her that she'd made the right decision. Buy a healer and making her priority her fighters, said she was going to be a serious contender.
Like she had with Gambit, she knocked on the door and waited, not wanting to invade another's space, hoping that the mutant would be as agreeable as she remembered. No, not the mutant. Forever.
