Gloria watched the hacky sack as it hit the ground and just looked at it. Did he expect her to be all playful like some kind of new puppy? Surely not. That would just be insulting. When she finally turned her eyes back up toward the kid, he was all funky colored and wall-matching. What the hell? Looks like she came outside to meet lizard-man. Wonderful.
Vic held out his hand to greet her and Gloria hesitated before offering her own. It was a weird thing to do considering for the past few months she'd been treated like dirt. The fact that someone might actually want to shake her hand was so out of place here that she had almost been startled. "Glory," she muttered as she watched this weird green guy. How could he be so... happy? "I--," she started as she tried to figure out just how to explain herself. "I don't get out much." It was only because she even kinda liked Rogue that she did was the other girl said. Gleeson had been another story entirely. She hated him, he hated her, everything was a battle.
"Wh--," Again she paused, trying to make sure her voice was nice rather than the normal hateful tone that she'd gotten so used to using around here, "Why are you so ... okay with this? They shoot you full of some kinda happy juice or somethin'?"
