Her first impression of this place was its greyness. Not only the walls of her cell, but the faces of the people she'd seen, the mood that seemed to settle around the place--it was heavy and oppressing. Of course she hadn't expected this place to be Disneyland, she wasn't that far out of tune, but it still pulled on her mood, threatened to drag it down, and she didn't like that. It was almost similar to the feeling that sometimes resonated inside of her, one she felt, when it came, that she had to let out, but then upon releasing it, that in itself ..it 'ate her soul'. Such a phrase would sound foolish and she was sure she'd be laughed at it she ever repeated it to anyone, but that was what she felt like after it, always: empty, bleak and hopeless. Not that she knew a lot about black magic, but at times she worried that it was in fact either a form of it or like black magic in the way that if it is used too much, it will consume the user. Of course such thoughts were silly, but worries often were, and it worried her anyway.
She gave a sigh as she sat down on her little cot, wondering faintly if she would be allowed to paint the walls. She would like them purple with silver stars, the way her mother had her room when she was little. At least that would lend some color to the place, but she had to wonder if such a thing would be allowed. This place seemed pretty bad. These poor people---then again, they weren't considered people anymore. Oh, she had been reckless, if it hadn't been for her snooping she could still be free, living an exciting life. But she'd almost felt like she'd had to, even though she'd never met this man that she was almost certain had to be her father, the drive in her to do so was unbelievable. It was silly, what would she say to him when she finally met him? What if he thought she was a liar? She never had considered those things, she just had gone on her blind desire to see him, and it had landed her here. Well, there was nothing she could do but make the most of it. Maybe she would be able to make someone's day a little brighter with her abilities.
She smiled a little to herself and laid down on the cot, wincing as the aged piece of furniture creaked under her body. Ouch, was she getting that heavy? She chuckled a little and turned her head, eyes directed to the activity, if any, outside of her cell as one slender hand wormed its way up, fingertips feeling at the newly placed collar. Her eyes narrowed a bit as a guard that had been leering at her earlier gave a wolf whistle of sorts. While she was a bit of a pacifist, if provoked she certainly wouldn't be beyond defending herself. As the man passed she turned her head again and her eyes focused on the ceiling. So, what to do first? Try to locate the man she was looking for or try to make friends? Something told her both tasks would be rather difficult..
