The little shift in his emotion toward pride and interest piqued her attention and though she wanted to nudge it, there didn't seem to be any need to. He was a sweet guy, but she didn't want to push too hard and either scare him away or turn things into a full blown obsession. Either one would be generally bad.
"I'm usually down in Blue," which was her Block and essentially her block owner was her owner so long as she remained without a separate one. "I get out of here at 2 on most nights." The island was essentially shut down by 3, those who weren't staying around had to be gone by 3:30 anyway, there wasn't much call to keep the bar open. "Sleep till lunch. Eat. Go through that fucked up shit they call training. Hit the showers, eat again, come to work." She had free time, supposedly.
Violet spent her free time sleeping. It seemed as if they had added extra hours into the day in order to get her working more. "I might see if I can get fight night off though. Then I'll have time."
Her connections on the island were few and far between. No one could blame her for nurturing this one.
