He nodded firmly, even though her had never met the individual before. “Family is being important to remember. It has been fifteen years since I have seen my parents or sister or brother, but I think ov them every day. Distance, be it across a street, across a vorld or even between earth and the heavens does not break the bonds of family.”
While the phrasing bordered on corny, it was clear that he was quite sincere in his assertion about the nature of familial love. It was one of the things that kept him going in this place, after all. Once more he smiled down to her lowering his towering figure to one knee to better have a view of what she was displaying. Even in so doing he still had a good foot and a half on her, but it was closer in either case.
After she was done with her display he looked around a bit more amid the rubble, inquiring curiously, “Are there other things that are needing to be looked for?”
