He frowned a little when he was told that her owner was dead; Wade knew he was lucky for having an owner like Abigail. She gave him a great cut of the fight money, visited him when he nearly had his back broken and even gave him a damn good meal that one time. She took care of him relatively well. The only thing she could do for him now was buy his freedom before the price got too high and neither of them could pay for it. Of course, he didn't believe that she'd ever do that for him and one day she'd never come back to the island, and he'd be bought up by someone who treated him like shit.
He swallowed thickly, instantly ridding himself of the idea that anything could change right now. He chose not to address anything about the owners and bosses. It was just better that way. He hadn't heard any rumors... well. Gossip was all around him but Wade was too busy in his own mind to pay attention to what others were saying unless he personally was addressed.
When Violet informed him that a place couldn't love him back, Wade's brow creased a little and he frowned. Well he knew that. It was a little cold, he thought, but he wouldn't address it since Violet was upset and maybe she just wasn't watching what she was saying. Or she assumed that Wade wouldn't have taken an offense to what she said.
"Well. I know a place can't love me back but same goes for people." He gave a small smile but he fully believed in his statement; he wasn't sure what he thought about love and whether or not it was fact or fiction. The only person to have loved him died twenty seven years ago.
"Never been to Vegas, surprisingly. I lived in Japan for a number of years and it was a beautiful, serene place. That's where I went and mastered the katana, as well as ancient and modern martial arts. I'm trained in base ninjitsu which is a combination of a couple different things, and I also have specified training on the nervous system and how to kill people with a strike or two. It's all rather fascinating. And of course I did master the language, as well. That and French, Spanish, Italian, German and Russian." He shrugged a little, looking over at her again.
