"Just don't leave," there were points when she wanted to be alone and points when the lonliness crept up on her and made her feel terrified. Not to mention, it was a lot easier to not sleep in the company of others. They tended to want to hold up conversations and such, this required attention. Attention required wakefulness to a degree, so she was more than willing to deal with having company. Anything to keep away the sensation of being buried alive that she couldn't consciously remember. "It's easier with company."
Did it make her feel better to know that people cared about her? Yes, it certainly did because that meant she wasn't drifting alone in an all too empty sea of her own emotions or as it was rapidly becoming a sea of despair. It was easy to contemplate going into her next fight and letting herself lose to the point of death. Technically, she hadn't killed herself, just not taken too many steps to preserve her life from others.
Asking about the pirate adventure got a wry smile. "Who told you that story," she asked with a raised eyebrow. "Blondie?" She would be the only one who knew that Violet had ripped a pirate's earring out of his head. Of course, she probably didn't mention that Violet had done so with her teeth, leaving her with a somewhat garish look around her mouth. Violet fully crushed out her cigarette, she wasn't really smoking, just letting it burn anyway.
"Me and one of the owners got sent to a ship that was being raided by pirates. You know cannonballs flying through the air, all that shit." It was actually a funny story and it might be fun to tell. "So anyway, after a bit of fight, me and her are captured by the pirates and it's really obvious what they want us for. Not a nice boy among them." As if that wasn't obvious, they were pirates after all. "So we're both all bloody and dirty from the fight and we've got to change. Except you know we were being watched and all. She's slightly freaked by the idea of anybody seeing her naked. I used to strip for a living, so I teased a little, just something to keep their eyes pointed my direction. Seemed like a good thing to do at the time."
Violet was living out exactly how angry she had been at the time and how much she hated humanity. "They let us out and one of the boys decided he was gonna get fresh with me. So I got fresh back. Nearly cleaned his clock then pulled out his earring with my teeth before throwing him overboard. Was kinda fun. Meanwhile, Blondie's managed to get the drop on the captain with his own gun. I was impressed. She doesn't seem like the fightin' kind."
Truthfully, Violet didn't know Abigail well enough to say much about her, but that first impression wasn't the greatest thing in the world. "Did you get a trip too?" After all, he'd said we, so he had to be involved too.
