Considering Ribbon's taste in entertainment, one would not find it at all strange that she was hanging around the House of Horrors. Occasionally, she would come there and settle, finding a sneaky little spot up in the rafters to hunker down in and just listen to the sounds of thudding hearts as people tried to thread their way through the house without losing their minds. It was quite fun for her and she didn't even have to play her usual game of jack in the box to get to listen to the screams. Granted, she liked to play jack in the box, but she also liked to chase those who ran away from her. Better to not play the game if she couldn't follow through.
Tonight, she was hiding up in the House of Horrors, up in the rafters above the false ceiling meant to keep the place feeling smaller than it actually was. What Mason could hear was the soft scrap of her ribbons against the false ceiling. Ribbon was aware of the sound and saw no reason to make it stop. Most people paid it very little mind. Those who did seem to notice it thought it was an effect of the House and only became more afraid.
At least, that had been so until Mason looked up and wanted to know what was making the noise. Ribbon was aware of Mason in an odd way, aware of him because he seemed to have a pleasure reaction to the fear others gave off as well. There were few who liked to do such things outside of the arena, hence why it got her attention. One could even say that it was part of her the reason she kept coming back, though she didn't quite understand things that way.
Now she folded up smaller, not willing to announce herself, but rather waiting it seemed to find out if Mason would come hunting the noise. Would he hunt the noise or would he become frightened himself and chose to ignore it? There was no telling, but she hoped he would come look. Maybe it would be fun to fright the frighter.
