"It's good to hear," he said honestly, nodding. She looked frazzled, he supposed attacking her with questions had not been the kindest thing to do. He kept a hand on her back, wanting to make sure he had that connection, but shifted a bit to let her have a bit more space, she could always close it again if she wanted to. "Lot to catch up on," he agreed with a small nod.
"So where have you been hiding?" It was a half teasing question, he really did want to know where she'd been. Medical was a real possibility, but around here, well, one never knew just what could happen. When you had no control or say over your life, you could often find yourself swept up and away. "I'm fine," he assured her with a small smile. "Mason and I managed to get out of Yellow before it came down completely. We were... uh... rather lacking in... supplies though..." A brown blush bloomed across his cheeks as he averted his eyes with a bashful smile. It would really be a funny story if he ever could get over his own embarrassment to properly tell it. He would just have to leave that to Mason, he supposed.
