It was apparent who the other mutant was. Itzal just failed to run away because he didn't feel the need to. Perhaps he had an overactive Thanatos drive? Who knows. He wasn't affronted by the other mutant's killing of a young guard. If anything, the shade had turned cold to the existence of the meaningless humans that kept him there. His heart was turning calloused, needless to say. He merely shrugged and sat down and leaned back rather comfortably. "Well, that makes two of us." He noted, sounding mildly agitated. He wasn't exactly happy with his space being taken up and he wasn't happy that one of his rivals was gone. Frankly, he'd be happy to punch someone in the face, but he didn't want another headache.
"I guess... all we can really do is wait and avoid everyone." He commented, more of musing to himself rather than specifically speaking to the other. If anything, he wasn't exactly paying too much attention to the other. "So, you must have been the one who caused quite a bit of ruckus... killing that guard." He paused, turning to look at the other. For a moment, he looked the other over. "Hmm... congratulations." Nox spoke rather nonchalantly, grinning at the feral.
"And it's not so free, unfortunately." The darkling was sourly reminded by that everyday by the collar tightly wrapped around his neck. "I'm not free to even be myself and use my abilities." He told the other, poking at his contraption. "I guess Fischer just doesn't trust me." He grinned at the thought of it. The head of the island was at least smart enough not to put himself in obvious danger.
Itzal looked out towards the waves. "If I could, I'd just stay out here... all the time." He took in a deep breath, bringing in the smell of the ocean that stretched out as far as he could see. "What do you think?" He inquired, arching his eyebrow but still keeping his gaze set on the ocean.
