The hug was immensely helpful. Vic had not seem a large number of people, he needed to find and check on Violet and D and Wade in particular. Mason was safe, that meant he could deal with anything that did come, but knowing that Pixie was alive and well was still a huge relief. One more careful squeeze and he pulled away, noticing her damaged wing with a small frown. Did those things heal? He hoped so.
"Yes, I'd be going mad until I found out about him," he chuckled softly. "I'm glad you're doing ok. There's a few more people I need to track down." A hint of concern colored his features as his green eyes shifted toward the register. "You want a drink?" He was sure he had enough credits built up to swing her a cup of something while they sat and talked.
"Yeah, I heard that they're making all humans take a test to see if they have powers... or something." He shrugged, still overwhelmed by it all. He winced at the mention of her laptop, his head dropped forward as a sigh escaped him. "Yeah, I lost my laptop too, and all my other stuff. Funny, my whole life was in that room..." At least Mason had gotten out. That made it all ok. The light quickly returned to his eyes as she motioned to the cast. "It suits you very well!
