"Vic." Came the happy squeal from the girl in the doorway. "You're alright! I was worried." The last faintly chastising. Her accent had faded a little already in the time that she was here, enough that she was far easier to understand, even if she still had that gaelic lilt to her Welsh-born voice.
Half a second later he had to deal with a rather small, rather warm growth that had firmly attached itself to his side, arms about his neck and was currently attempting to squeeze the daylights out of him. She grinned happily, continuing to cling, though careful of her cast to keep from hurting him. Her uninjured wing flicked and fluttered happily, the injured one though hung still within it's binding. She would heal but it would take time.
"Were you in the building when it fell down? Is it really true that one of the block owners did it? What block are you staying in? I've been moved into White block, but I'm not sure why, I mean I'm still a blue blocker.. which kind of sucks, but oh, my collar broke! And I might not have to have a new one for a whiiiile cause the guy that makes them is kinda overburdened right now."
